In-Class Activity: Decision Trees in Python (Answer Sheet) Question 1: Based on the tree you’ve generated, how likely is it that the following customers will buy organic products: 25 year-old male with an affluence grade of 4.5 40.8% 30 year-old male with an affluence grade of 15 72.5% 45 year-old female with an affluence grade of 15 43.5% 45 year-old male with an affluence grade of 8 9.4% Question 2: Based on this tree, describe the characteristics of the most likely and least likely groups to buy organic products? Most likely to buy: : someone less than 44.5 years old, with an affluence of over 14.5 Least likely to buy: : someone older than 44.5, with an affluence less than or equal to 7.5, that is not female Question 3: Based on the analyses we have done so far, use your own words to summarize how minimum split can alter the decision tree. Minimum split can make the tree more or less complex, changing the way the data is shown to us. With more complexity comes more details, but can awkwardly display the data and skew the perception of the results.
