Taylor Christopher February 4th, 2024 Professor Wakefield Flip Web 2.0 Assignment Part 1: Accessing Your Project 1. https://flip.com/s/s1u274RVZ_ib 2. My project is viewable. Part 2: Project Details 3. The grade level for this project is second grade. 4. ISTE standards for this assignment: “1.6.b Original and Remixed Works Students create original works or responsibly repurpose or remix digital resources into new creations.” 1.7.a Global Connections Students use digital tools to connect with learners from a variety of backgrounds and cultures, engaging with them in ways that broaden mutual understanding and learning.” 1.7.b Multiple Viewpoints Students use collaborative technologies to work with others, including peers, experts and community members, to examine issues and problems from multiple viewpoints.” 2.5.b Design Authentic Learning Activities Design authentic learning activities that align with content area standards and use digital tools and resources to maximize active, deep learning.” 2.6.b Foster Classroom Management of Tech Manage the use of technology and student learning strategies in digital platforms, virtual environments, hands-on makerspaces and in the field.” (ISTE, 2023) 5. How likely are you to use this program in the future? I think that using Flip is fun and different. I am just not comfortable with it yet and with recording myself for things. However, I think it would be something new and exciting for my students to be able to use within the classroom setting.
6. I could use this program in my future classroom by posting different topics for my students to reply to. For example, I saw different topics such as “Today I feel…” and “Reading Comprehension Check” where students can upload their own videos for me to see based on the topics that I post for different subjects and things that we are learning about. I also think this program would be a great way to do an online book club with my students. This way they are able to state their opinions about anything I ask such as questions about characters, book predictions, and other things such as why do you think the author chose to word something the way that they did. Overall, this would be a nice program to implement into my classroom with many different options for learning and sharing ideas.
