Technology Lesson 1 TECHNOLOGY LESSON DEMONSTRATION ASSIGNMENT M ADISON B ONNER G RADUATE S TUDENT , L IBERTY U NIVERSITY EDUC 630
Technology Lesson 2 E XPLANATION OF C ANVA S ELECTION AND R ATING OF ITS C ONTRIBUTION TO THE L ESSON I selected Canva as the technology tool for creating anchor charts in this lesson plan because it is a resource provided by my school system that I am not familiar with, and I wanted to challenge myself to experience new technology. Canva has templates that can be chosen from, or you are able to create your own. There are also premade fonts and graphics that can be used which makes it user friendly. In my opinion, the technology's contribution to the lesson was beneficial. Canva will allow my students to create engaging anchor charts that allow them to show their learning of the vocabulary and characteristics of different literary genres. Overall, Canva was a valuable technology tool for this lesson as it enhanced student learning by providing a creative and interactive platform for creating anchor charts. D ESCRIPTION OF U SING T ECHNOLOGY FOR D IFFERENTIATION One way to differentiate this lesson plan using technology is by incorporating assistive technologies to support students with diverse learning needs. For example, students with visual impairments could benefit from screen readers or text-to-speech software that can read the anchor chart content aloud. Having screen readers can guarantee that all students will be able to participate in the lesson. Another way to provide an alternative form of instruction is by using alternative technology tools/programs. For instance, instead of using Canva, students could use Google
Technology Lesson 3 Slides to create their anchor charts. For my students, they are familiar with Google Slides, as we use this program regularly. R EFERENCE Hughes, J., & Roblyer, M. (2023). Integrating educational technology into teaching (9th ed.). Pearson.
