Lesson Objective: The purpose of our web page is to educate other students who are interested in learning about the dangers of E-waste and the solutions offered by green computing. Storyline/Plan: The first part of our website will be focused on E-Waste. By starting with E-waste, we hope to add context to the importance of green computing. The Discussion on E-waste will begin with the dangers to human health it creates along with the environmental impacts. We will then move onto the major sources of E-waste and where most if it ends up. By discussing where E-Waste ends up, we will be able to show the disproportionate effect is has on the health of people living in 3 rd world countries. We will finish the E-waste discussion on proper disposal methods. Throughout our discussion we will be including images and infographics from our sources along with links to videos for anyone looking to for more information. The second half of our lesson will be focused on Green Computing. We will begin by defining what Green Computing is. We will then outline the advantages of green computing like reduced waste and increased energy efficiency. We will talk about the disadvantages as well like increased costs. We will finish our conversation on the direction green computing is moving in the future and how to ensure you are buying more green devices. The Green Computing portion will also include links to additional information.
