Presenting Your Point Assessment
Step 1: Complete your slide deck.
Using the details from the lesson, complete your slide deck on your research topic. Keep the following requirements in mind.
●
Have a minimum of seven slides.
o
title slide
o

Use proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and capitalization (as needed).
●
All citations follow MLA Guidelines.
●
Incorporate feedback from your instructor.
Step 2: Reflect on your work.
Write a paragraph reflecting on your research experience and the process of creating the slide deck. Your reflection should be at least 100 words in length. Discuss the following points:
●
What is something interesting you learned while conducting your research?
●
Why do you think your audience will enjoy your presentation?
●
If you were to start the argument and research module over, what is one thing you would do differently? What is one thing you'd do the same?
I was hoping my first car would be an affordable electric vehicle. I want to help the environment and do what I can to lower our carbon emissions. I presented my outline and slide
show to my parents and they were impressed with the research I found and the information provided. My first impression of purchasing an electric vehicle is the price. $60,000 for a car! Unless Otherwise Noted All Content © 2022 Florida Virtual School. FlexPoint Education

Many people can not afford that price tag. An interesting thing I learned was although Battery-electric cars may not emit greenhouse gasses from their tailpipes, some emissions are created in the process of building and charging the vehicles.
I think the audience would appreciate the time and effort in the presentation. It shows that technology needs to improve before average Americans can afford the luxury of an EV. In
addition, the carbon emissions to produce the energy to charge the cars are something most people are unaware of.
One thing I would do differently would be to talk to several EV owners and find out the pros and cons of their vehicles. The one thing I would do is try and drive an electric car to see how I like the car, however, I would probably stay with the same argument that EV technology needs to advance so the automobile will truly be emissions-free.
