1. 31-year-old medical billing professional working from home. My twin daughters are six years old, and my son is
four years old. I am also the proud owner of the cutest American Bulldog named Glocc. In my self-healing journey, I am interested in finding new things to better myself. Finding new ways to love myself more and being a better mother, daughter, girlfriend, sister, friend, and student is my passion. SNHU is offering me a chance to pursue my education by getting a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration/healthcare management, and I have an associate degree in medical billing and coding. 2. My favorite creative work is performing arts with the Alvin
Ailey Dance Foundation. In 1958, Alvin Ailey founded this performing arts company to enrich American modern dance and preserve African American cultural experience.
By using the beauty and humanity of cultures, this community unites people of all races, ages, and backgrounds. There are various levels of dance programs
offered by Alvin Ailey School for different levels of dancers.
3. Direct transmission is the means of transmission for this creative work in the performing arts. The reason it is a direct performance is that it takes place on a live stage in
front of an audience. After my aunt took me to a live show in Memphis, TN in 2010, I was able to experience the work directly. Seeing artists express themselves through dance was such a great experience. During the performance, we had about two intermissions and had to sit through a total of three different sets. It was evident that the artist was passionate throughout the theatre, which is why I prefer direct communication.
4. As I interpret the layers of meaning in this creative work, I interpret it as culture, creator, and creative work because the creator wants the audience to engage in the story with the dancers and to take part in the journey with them.
