Does your company's global operations fit a multi-domestic, transnational or global strategy. Explain how and provide at least 2 examples to justify your answer.
Apple Inc. is a prime example of a company that employs a blend of global and transnational strategies in its operations. Transnational Strategy: 1. Innovation and Localization: Apple is known for its global innovations and its ability to tailor those innovations to individual markets. Apple, for instance, added Alipay as a payment option in China to accommodate the country's most popular way of payment. The App Store features varying applications and services depending on local tastes and regulatory requirements. This ensures that the store's offers are suitable for each region's consumers and adhere to their laws. 2. Global Supply Chain with Local Adaptations: Apple's supply chain is both globally connected and locally responsive, according to the company. Chips from Taiwan and other components from Japan and South Korea are only two examples of where the corporation gets its supplies from. When doing business in a new country, Apple modifies its supply chain operations to conform to the law. This includes, but is not limited to, complying with local labor and environmental laws. Global Strategy: 1. Unified Brand Image: • Apple's brand identity and communications remain same in all regions of the world. No matter where you are in the world, the name "Apple" immediately conjures images of high-quality, forward-thinking design.

Apple's marketing efforts, notwithstanding localizations, have a consistent message and design look throughout all markets. The releases of these products are international phenomena, eagerly awaited by consumers everywhere. 2. Standardized Products: Apple’s products are largely standardized across different markets. An iPhone or a MacBook has the same design and similar functionalities, whether purchased in the USA, India, or France. The software, iOS, is also standardized, providing the same user interface and experience to all users worldwide, with minor adaptations for language and local services. Justification: Balancing Global and Local: Apple's approach enables them to take advantage of its worldwide recognition while still catering to specific regional tastes. The iPhone may be sold across the world, but Apple Pay has been localized so that it may be used with various payment systems and currencies. The Apple Stores in Paris, Singapore, and Macau, for example, combine Apple's contemporary style with aspects of the local architecture and culture. Innovation and Adaptation: Research and development at Apple spans the globe in an effort to produce cutting-edge goods that can be sold in every market. Nonetheless, the company
ensures that its goods and services are well-received in many regions by tailoring them to local tastes and regulatory needs. By strategically aligning its operations, relationships, and compliance processes, the firm is able to traverse the numerous regulatory and competitive environments it faces, such as managing trade tariffs, complying to data protection rules, and competing with local brands. Apple is able to take advantage of economies of scale and synergies across geographies thanks to its global and transnational strategy, while still being agile and sensitive to the needs of individual markets. With this approach, Apple can continue to dominate the market while also expanding into other areas.
