Report
Write a paragraph of 300 words or more on the following. This week we have discussed how businesses “Go Green”. Pick a company that you feel is focused on going green and is publicly known for their efforts. Please consider these questions in your discussion: Is there something that you find interesting or innovative about their efforts? What identifies them as being green? How do communicate their green efforts to the public? Do they differ from other similar companies in their industry? Saylor Academy (2021) asserts that the goal of the green marketing strategy is to maximize profits while upholding ecological values. Simply put, when a business "goes green," it indicates that they are acting in a way that conserves the environment. Some businesses adopt green initiatives to safeguard the environment, such as resource conservation, pollution reduction, energy conservation, consumption reduction, and many more. Numerous businesses, including Adidas, Carnival Corporation and Plc, Starbucks, McDonald's, and Johnson & Johnson, have been operating under this tenet. These businesses have all taken steps to be ecologically conscious in their own particular ways. Johnson & Johnson Johnson & Johnson is committed to sustainability, is well-known for its work in this area, and has been setting the standard for the production of ecologically friendly personal care products for 20 years. Additionally, there have been efforts to employ sustainable products and packaging during the manufacturing and distribution processes to reduce waste (Lawson, 2017). Also, they have a fleet of environmentally friendly cars that they use to expand their business while also preserving the environment. You might be interested to know that Johnson & Johnson's new Healthy Lives Mission, which I think is pretty clever, calls for the use of 100% recyclable, reusable, or compostable plastic packaging as well as certified or post-consumer recycled paper- and pulp-based packaging (Lacy & Hayward, 2011) By doing this, they will enhance both the health of people and the planet while also conserving the ecosystem. By consistently ensuring that their goods and services fulfill the needs of their customers in terms of quality, practicality, and cost, Johnson & Johnson can be considered to be environmentally friendly. They aim to offer answers to some of the most urgent worldwide public health problems. Through their marketing and promotion initiatives, they actively engage consumers to learn about their concerns, something that most businesses in their industry do not do. This allows them to share their green efforts with the public. Finally, not least, Johnson and Johnson is committed to going green and is well- known for their efforts and initiatives. They have adopted procedures to preserve
resources, lessen pollution, and support sustainability across their operations. In general, each of these businesses has worked to be environmentally friendly and employs various methods of identification and communication. References: Saylor Academy. (2021).
