Report
So, I have 7-9 months. I would assess weight and height, by this age the baby should weigh between 16-19 pounds depending on if it is a boy or girl. I am assessing to ensure that vaccines are up to date. This should be Hep B, RV, DTaP, Hib, PCV, IPV, and flu. I am assessing sleep habits, are they sleeping to much or too little, they should be sleeping around 12-14 hours per day. I am making sure that motor skills are on point, by this age they should be able to roll over, sit on their own, scoot, rock, crawl and may even be able to stand. Eye and hand coordination should be improved, and most babies start teething at this time. A red flag would be that the baby does not respond to their name. By this time a baby should recognize and respond to name. I would recommend first getting the baby’s hearing checked, it could be that the baby is hard of hearing or cannot hear you at all. Even if you think it is something small, when you see or think you see a milestone problem, report it to your doctor so that your baby may get back on track to reach other milestones.
