Truthful Representation Must post first. Critics of all three films in this module have expressed concern about how accurately actual historical events and personalities are depicted on screen. Is this concern legitimate? Why, and in what instances? You must start a thread before you can read and reply to other threads As viewers watch films, they like to think that all three films in this module conveyed how accurately historical facts and characters are portrayed in the film. People would like to believe that all knowledge on biographies or past incidents is historically accurate. Critics are often those who are following a movie or political happenings and seeking to think about the occurrences of someone's presidency (Nelson Mandela), fighting (Algerian War), militant (Malcolm X) and many others. Critics are free to share their thoughts on how they saw a biography, a historical incident, or celebrities, and see the consistency when viewing. Some viewers are aware of the incidents during their screening of the three films so that they can interpret the film to their knowledge of the events they have heard. I think critics corners is legitimate. When retelling a historical event and personality on screen, you dont wanna portrait any false info as viewers may get the wrong messages and have false belids. When telling historical events, making sure the film is accurate is possible can help those who know nothing about the event gain some insight knowledge on what happened and why the event is so important in history.
