The two artworks I am choosing this week are from the neoclassical movement. Though these two sculptures are from the same movement their artist are from different regions. Let’s dive into
the similarities and differences of these two sculptures.
The first sculpture is by Antonio Canova. The sculpture’s title is Hercules and Lichas. Canova created this piece 1795-1796 in Italy. The sculpture is currently on display at Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea (GNAM), Rome, Italy.
