I live in Nebraska. I am a mom to 6 bio kids, 4 step kids, soon to be 6 grandkids. I am currently studying Anthropology. A painting has caught my eye since I was young, The Starry Night, I have never seen it in person but someday I hope to. I love the night but the more I got into the meaning of the picture, the more I saw his side of it, which I will get into. he use of color in "The Starry Night" is one feature that stands out. By utilizing bold and contrasting shades, Van Gogh effectively conveyed his emotions while capturing the essence of the nocturnal sky. The background features dominant deep blues, with stars and moon brilliantly illuminated by vivid yellows and oranges. According to Van Gogh, his goal with this legendary artwork was inspired by a view of the countryside he witnessed from his window during dawn. The only thing present in that scenery was an enormous morning star. This statement emphasizes how nature observation propelled him towards creating his unique artistic rendition. Van Gogh's Starry Night is recognized as one of his most prominent creations, representing not only his distinct artistic perspective but also the challenges he encountered on a personal level. The artwork features the artist's fascination with capturing nature within its remarkable beauty and mirrors the profound emotional encounters that Van Gogh experienced during his stay at Saint-Rémy-de-Provence asylum where it was created. In general, the masterpiece "The Starry Night" demonstrates van Gogh's proficiency in technique and his talent for stirring intense emotions through artistic expression.
