EVALUATION OF ACHONDROPLASIA 2 Abstract A 4-year-old female presented to the doctor office with complaints of muscle spasms when trying to run or walk. She is also experiencing bruising easier than normal. The mother states she noticed her daughter was developing something unusual in her facial appearance, especially her bone structure. The patient underwent a complete physical to include X-rays and bloodwork. X- rays revealed bowing of the crural bones and thicker than normal epiphyseal plates throughout the skeletal system. Some of the bloodwork revealed certain deficiencies in her diet. Her forehead was somewhat enlarged, she was developing a bumpy(knobby) appearance in her rib cage, her lower limbs seemed like they were developing an unusual curvature lengthwise.
