DORIN COVACIU STUDENT Id 21533108 Introduction: This template should be used to record your reflections on the weekly sessions. Please use the spaces provided to reflect on what was discussed in class, what you gained from the session; did you find the content useful, how can you relate it to your studies at university as a business student. You will also need to discuss how you intend to further develop the skills discussed in class. This is a continuous process and should be completed during the module and not at the end. In week 8 you will be expected to submit what you have completed so far, via Blackboard, in order to receive feedback. You will then complete weeks 9 and 10 and summatively submit the journal in week 14. The Weekly Reflective Journal will be used in conjunction with your Personal Learning and Development Plan and Interview to work out the final grade for this module. Submission of all parts of the assessment are required in order to receive a grade. Week 1 Please describe in less than 200 words what was discussed in this session and how you plan to develop these skills. If I pay attention to the classes, I will only gain and I want to become the best option of mine. In the first week of school we got to know each other and we quickly went through the subject that I am going to study. The title of the module is personal learning and it includes a lot of interesting topics for me. In this semester we will discuss how to analyze ourselves, how to learn from any situation, whether it is positive or negative, but also how to do certain academic papers. All these skills will be used not only now during school, and we will use them in other situations and then I will be very grateful that I participated in this course. If I pay attention to classes I will only gain and I want to become my best option.
DORIN COVACIU STUDENT Id 21533108 Week 2 Please describe in less than 200 words what was discussed in this session and how you plan to develop these skills. Week 3 Please describe in less than 200 words what was discussed in this session and how you plan to develop these skills. In week three I discussed a topic that has attracted me since I saw the contents of the module in the first week, namely personal SWOT analysis. Through this analysis, I discovered my strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, but also the threats I have. I was able to compare myself to my opponents, and once I discovered the risks, I began to apply the reflective thinking I learned last week to overcome them. Also through this analysis I deduced the things I can do best and in the future I will work on the aspects that I am missing in order to become my best version. This week's theme was reflective thinking and its importance in our personal knowledge. Reflective thinking helps me to organize my things differently and to be able to control my emotions. Through this thinking you can reflect on certain situations we have gone through and learn from each action certain things that I can apply in the future. From each experience we can learn something new because I understand that when I reflect on something I have done in the past, I can get to know myself and I can figure out how they act on things. All these methods help us to develop our personality and to improve the way we think and act.

DORIN COVACIU STUDENT Id 21533108 Week 4 Please describe in less than 200 words what was discussed in this session and how you plan to develop these skills. In the fourth week we talked about academic writing and how it helps us in personal learning. The teacher showed me some examples of structures and possible requirements for future projects. For example, we may have requirements not only for content but also for writing time, size, page alignment, and even a minimum or maximum number of words. Through all these things we acquire New knowledge that will help us in the future for other situations. It is important to use a formal language other than the one we use in our daily conversations, words not to be used with abbreviations and it is advisable to be precise and strict with the subject we have. Week 5 Please describe in less than 200 words what was discussed in this session and how you plan to develop these skills. In week five, we discussed the importance of writing in a student's life, as well as how to do reflective work. First of all, for me, writing is the best way to communicate with others. Writing is a necessary skill in all situations and also helps us to improve our thinking skills. When we go through an action in which we have made spontaneous decisions we can realize what we have done in the past and how they influence us now or maybe even in the future. When we start thinking about something and writing we will realize what we need to focus on more and what we need to improve on ourselves.
DORIN COVACIU STUDENT Id 21533108 Week 6 Please describe in less than 200 words what was discussed in this session and how you plan to develop these skills. Week 7 Please describe in less than 200 words what was discussed in this session and how you plan to develop these skills. Use a minimum of one academic source and reference this. In the sixth week I met the University library and noted why it is important in our personal development. The library is a continuous source of development because here we can develop our reading, writing, the way we search. For me, the easiest thing is to learn from books because they are easier to remember. We can also use the books here as references for our work this semester because we have some very interesting topics and it would be good to research and find out the opinions of other writers. Books are things we can't get bored of because we will always discover something new. In week seven, we discussed plagiarism, references, and how they affect our personal development. Because we are in the module of personal development, we need to understand how we accumulate certain knowledge that can improve ourselves. For example, this week's topic was references. References are methods that we go through in our paper the papers from which we researched for our topic and from which we borrowed certain paragraphs for our papers. In order to do this we have to look in several materials, so this helps us to learn because when we read from anywhere we always remember something C engel, YA & Boles, MA 1994, Thermodynamics: an engineering approach , 2nd edn, McGraw Hill, London.
DORIN COVACIU STUDENT Id 21533108 Week 8 Please describe in less than 200 words what was discussed in this session and how you plan to develop these skills. Use a minimum of one academic source and reference this. This journal should be formatively submitted for feedback, via Blackboard, at the end of this week. The title of this week's course was the skills of a successful presentation. When we present all the attention will be on the way we talk, the way we behave, but also the way we cooperate. Even if it seems difficult to make a presentation in which I can speak in my own words and be able to ask questions to those around me, this will be much easier if I repeat a presentation before I do it in front of the teacher. As the teacher asks us about the presentation, we need to answer others in the audience. It is important that we master our subject profile and be able to develop ideas without reading the paper. DORIN COVACIU STUDENT Id 21533108 references and then I will apply them in my work Part 3 – Personal Objectives Short-term goals (next 12 months) My short-term goals are strictly related to my academic life because this year I want to focus only on my academic successes so that I can gain new knowledge and skills to use in the future to apply for a job. Medium term goals (next 2-3 years) Over the next 2-3 years, I hope to gain more knowledge and further develop all the skills I have gained so far. I would also like to take some personal development courses to prepare for a possible job and promote the interview. I also want to continue learning other things that will help me in my personal and professional life. Longer-term goals (beyond 3 years) In the long run, I want to focus more on my professional life and try to build on the skills I've learned so far. I want to get involved in accounting and for that I will try as many courses as possible to be able to develop my analytical and counting skills by solving any problem efficiently.
