Organizations are social entities that are formed to archive specific collective goals. In achieving these goals, groups of individuals will be formed to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
Explanation of Solution
There are many types of groups; some of them are the formal and informal groups. Formal groups have difference departments such as the HR department and it also includes committees. These formal groups are usually set by the management on a basic of temporary or permanent. Furthermore, formal groups are the work units that are formed by the organization.
The other type of group is the informal group. These informal groups are evolved of person and collective self-interest surrounded by the members of the company and they are not a part of the systematical design created by the organization. Informal groups have common interests, casual relationships and so on. These are some of the types of groups in the work situation.
