A flat rectangular plate is submerged horizontally in water. (a) Find the force (in $\text{lb}$ ) and the pressure $\left({\text{in lb/ft}}^{\text{2}}\right)$ on the top surface of the plate if its area is $100{\text{ ft}}^{\text{2}}$ and the surface is at a depth of $5\text{ ft}$ .

(b) Find the force (in $\text{N}$ ) and the pressure (in $\text{Pa}$ ) on the top surface of the plate if its area is $25{\text{ m}}^{\text{2}}$ and the surface is at a depth of $10\text{ m}$ .
