Expert Solution & Answer
Check Mark
To determine

The type of nails.

Answer to Problem 1RQ

Three types of nails are Finishing nail, roofing nail and Masonry nail.

Explanation of Solution

There are three types of nails as follows:

  1. Finishing Nail:

These nails have small head and can be driven into the wood below its surface. The figure below illustrates a masonry nail.

  2. Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology (MindTap Course List), Chapter 6, Problem 1RQ , additional homework tip 1

  3. Roofing Nail:

These nails are very useful to join shingles and roofing material to the roof. Roofing nails have large head. In apartments for fastening things these nails are used. Figure below illustrates a roofing nail.
