Slavery started when the British introduced the plantation on a very large scale. No doubt it existed in ancient times also, human slavery is still a major cause of concern in todays world. It began to exists before history was written. It started in ancient civilisation of China and Egypt. It also occurred in hunter and gatherer societies. It was also found in Roman Empire. Today although there are laws for slavery and hence it is abolished, but there are still some places and regions where human slavery still exists. Human trafficking and child sex trafficking is still practised by some of the influential peoples. It is not gone but it got a modern outlook.
