What are the goals of No Child Left Behind and Race to the Top? What are criticisms of these policies?
The USA has laid immense focus on education may it be at the state or local level. The public education system in the USA is mainly carried out by cities, which are managed by the state department of education. The main agenda of campaigning for both President Bush and President Obama was education. When President Bush came into power he passed the law of No Child Left Behind program 2001. Larter in 2009, President Obama passes the law of Race to the Top. Although both the programs are different the main objective of both is to raise standards for schools across the USA.
