Bipolar disorder is a mental disorder with severe low and high moods, disturbed sleep patterns, changes in behaviour and thinking patterns, is also known as manic depression. They are two opposite poles one is depression and another one is manic. There are two types of bipolar disorder; bipolar I and bipolar II.
The word "manic" explain in terms when an individual is overly excited, more energetic, fasting thought, disturbed sleep pattern irritability, restlessness, impulsivity, reckless behaviour and overly talkative are persistent for consecutive 1 week and may need to hospitalization.
The word "Hypomania" describes mild symptoms of mania and short duration like consecutive 4 days. However, Major depressive disorder is explained all the criteria of depressive symptoms present for at least 2 weeks.
