Expert Solution
Step 1
  • Misinformation

People may have distorted biases based on misinformations provided by surrounding people and people who might be influential in that person’s life.

  • Media distortion

There is a saying that goes like “you are the media that you consume”. People might be led to believe something else is true based on the media’s contortions of the truth according to their gains and profit.

  • Personal opinions

People might also gain the wrong perceptions about an ongoing issue based on their own personal opinions and beliefs and go on to believe something that is not true.

  • Conditioning

This might occur during a prolonged duration and it mostly starts right from the birth. This is prime reason why people have engrained beliefs that they can not change during their lifetime. They are conditioned to belief certain principles right from their birth and going against it is considered illegitimate.
