How does a group’s size affect its dynamics?
Sociology is the study of individuals or groups in a social setting - the way social life, changes in society, and the cause and effect of society affect their behaviour. An individual's social environment is very influential on his overall development. The values that he acquires, the way he responds to situations, his attitude, behaviour, and thinking are all influenced by his social relationships. The social groups that we belong to make us feel included but also work as a guideline when it comes to behaviour. We learn from the way other's behave. Individuals assess themselves against the social groups that they belong to. This is done to determine their self-worth and social status. If they observe that their behaviour aligns with that of the group then they see it as a positive sign and feel like they belong to the group.
