Read the following scenario and then answer the questions that follow:
You are the network administrator of Windows client/server network in your organisation. Your
network is a (Wide Area Network) WAN spanning across multiple sites. Your organisation consist
of six branches. A decision was taken to convert one branch into a Head Office intended to run a
centralised network for all other branches. Your project is to install and configure a suitable Head
Office’s network for the intended purpose. Thus far, you have decided to create and install a
testing network environment. This testing environment will be used to demonstrate how the Head
Office will be installed, configured and connected.
The testing network consists of two server machines running a Windows Server 2012 R2
system
Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and Domain Name System (DNS) server roles, and Remote and
Routing Access Services (RRAS) will be deployed along side with the required Domain Controllers.
All client machines and member servers must join and become members of the domain.
The Head Office consist of directors, managers and staff members in three departments, i.e. the
Sales, Finance and Information Technology. All Active Directory objects must be organised using a
well-structured Organisational Units (OU) for the domain. User accounts are organised in the Head
Office OU (hoUsers) under the correct user role OU.
