INTRODUCTION

Research is a process where it involves several steps in studying an aspect of the formulated research problem or the area. It involves the sequential steps to be followed in the whole process. The researcher uses several methods and methodologies to carry out the research and comes up with the observations after the collection of the data to formulate a theory.

EXPLANATION

IRB is the institutional review board. It has been established for the protection of the rights of human research subjects. These people are recruited to participate in the research activities that the institution conducts. It is entitled with authority to review the researches that are formulated where there is the involvement of the human participants. It is majorly concerned with protecting the rights and privacy of the human subjects involved in the research. It has the authority to approve or disapprove the researchers that fall under its jurisdiction. Federal laws grant these provisions for the institution. The researches that come into its consideration, this institution will pose several questions to the researcher regarding the data collection methods and sample that is selected. It majorly focuses on the human population involved and asks the researcher about the protection of the rights and the maintenance of confidential information shared by the subjects. It also checks the maintenance of privacy of the human subjects that are involved in the research. The IRB has the authority to ask the researcher to revise the study design and, in some cases, to disapprove of the whole research study.
