hypothesized to be due to a change in study methods. This week AIM was met on Friday; however, my accel data started to drop towards the start of the week as I had rush to get my SAFMEDS done to complete all assignments.

.The fluency deck contains the cards from all previous decks studied for all my courses. Figure 2.1 shows my accel data increasing throughout the week as I continue to reflect on the material studied and I am able to answer the cards much faster. The increase in accel data illustrates the high level of information retention I have on previous studied material.

. Acquisition Accel data over the week is present with an increasing trend and low variability. The last accel point for this week was 19, which means AIM has been met. Acquisition Decel data is present at a low level and low variability. Figure 2.1 displays the CR deck report for Acquisition deck 1. Here the data shows a zero/no trend and a low level for the number of cards skipped and has also consistently stayed at 0 this week. . Acquisition Accel data over the week is present at a high level and low variability. The last data point was at 23, which means AIM was met for the first week of this deck. Acquisition Decel data for Fluency deck 1 is present with a zero/no trend and at a low level consistently at 0, also for the number of cards skipped.

Study Approach and Adjustments
Antecedent A recent change in my study plan has shown to be ineffective this week. I would previously study the cards at the beginning of the week and reflect on the studied material, so that I can take the timings at the end of the day. I would generally complete all my SAFMEDs by
Friday so that I can also use the weekend to study the decks again in preparation for the following week. This week, I started the SAFMEDS on Monday and was behind during the week
to get all my timings complete in time. The pressure of being behind on my timings affected my overall scores towards the end of the week.
Behavior
On days 1 through 5 I ran five 30-second timings. I studied for a total of 30 minutes and entered that best data point into Precision X for a minimum of 5 days. In addition, with my Fluency deck 1, 1 ran three 30-second timings and just doing a quick review before each timing. This happened with both decks for a minimum of 5 days. Consequence
Following my last timing, I enter the data into Precision X on that same day. I began
noticing a significant change in my accel. I began a new study plan to be put in place for week
two so that I remove any pressure of being behind on my timings. Adjustments
6
Data Analysis and Study Approach SAFMEDS Deck 1
No adjustments will be made due to coming in strong with a solid study plan for the first week. In addition, for also having an increasing trend and low variability. I will continue to use my study plan as it has been shown effective with retaining information and reaching AIM for all
my decks in my previous courses. I will also set a reinforcement for myself so that if I continue to meet my AIM for week 2, I will take myself out to eat to my favorite restaurant at the end of the week.

Now monitor the process. An additional ten days of data have been collected, see table labeled “1st 10 Days of Monitoring Reservation Processing Time” in the Data File.
Develop Xbar and R charts for the 1st 10 days of monitoring. Plot the data for the 1st 10 days on the Xbar and R charts.
Is the process in control? If the control chart indicates an out-of-control process, note which days, the pattern, and whether it is the Xbar or R chart.
Based on the X-bar and R Charts that you developed for the 1st 10 days of data, is the process in control?
