The case study covered in this paper serves as an illustration of how a program's efficacy may be assessed by taking into account both the research design and the relevant statistical analysis. The social work organization devised a proposed plan to assess the efficacy of a program under their scope. This agency expressly decided to employ chi-square analysis to evaluate the program because it was the best fit for the research design and the degree of variable measurement. O1X1, a group that participated in the program, and O2X2, a group that did not, comprised the two groups that made up the research design. The survey responses from the participants constituted the observations (O), while the specific activities they participated in as program participants comprised the interventions (X). There is a statistically significant difference between the program's attendees and the those who did not participate according to the chi-square output data analysis. More specifically, there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups, as indicated by the chi-square value of 34.4 at the 0.05 level of significance being higher than the critical value of 5.991. Given that the participants' results were noticeably above those of non-participants, it appears that the program had a favorable impact on them. This demonstrates that the program's objectives were met with success. To assess a program's efficacy, the relationship between statistical analysis and research design must be examined. When choosing a statistical analysis to assess a program, the level of variable measurement and the research design should be taken into account. It is also essential to accurately analyze the output data and provide evidence to support any conclusions that are made from it. The agency decided to employ a chi-square statistic since it was the most appropriate analysis for the research design and degree of variable measurement in this case study. The chi-
square output data, which demonstrates a statistically significant difference amongst program participants and non-participants, indicates that the program was successful in reaching its objectives. In conclusion, this case study highlights the significance of using suitable statistical analysis and research design in program evaluation. The chi-square statistic proved to be the most useful analysis for the degree of variable measurement and the research design, thus the agency chose to utilize it. As demonstrated by the chi-square output data, which demonstrates a statistically significant difference between program participants and non-participants, the program was successful in reaching its objectives. The agency accurately determined the program's efficacy by utilizing the research design and relevant statistical analysis.
