In the article parental influence and academic achievement among middle school students the parent perspective the study was showing the effects of parental influence on students that are in middle school and their academic and their accomplishment. Throughout their school years they found that the classrooms have increased in size, with a lot of teachers being laid off, not having supportive staff to help the current staff with the student in the classrooms. Due to this impact their where many of the students who have experienced a negative impact on some type of academic and their academic. Due to this impact it affects some students by dropping out. The article did mention that some middle school students did experience some transition in their education from their elementary school which would be normal. The purpose of study was to be able to determine and focus on the compatible emphasis of the parental involvement and their influence. The middle school students where an important factor in this study due to the amount of study and the decrease in parental involvement on their studies that did occurred when the student growth in there transition. Most parent\
may feel that their assistance and involvement may no longer needed in their child educational studies that shouldn’t be the case parents should be involved so that they can see their process in school. The article did focus on how parents may be more involved and their influence in their children schoolwork their where some categories 1. Home based 2.) school based 3.) academic socialization. while children who are home schooled refers to the reinforcement of the material learned throughout the day with getting help with them homework and getting assistant and they have a school getting a home while school-based participation is based on volunteering and assisting in the teacher’s classroom, activities in the classroom and open houses doing class work and homework, having a parent teacher relationship is very crucial to the student’s academic growth and accomplishments. You need that relationship to be able to see and help your child on their progress if that relationship is not there than the parent would not know how to help their child if they were they are struggling or not. The results also showed that there was no relationship with the parents or children in the educational level with how it would impact the way they have been communicated.
