Since we have to provide feedback, all I can say is that you demonstrated active listening by recognizing both points of view, you provided excellent language reconciliation by providing space to promote deescalation in defensive mechanisms, and you effectively concentrated on the process by suggesting a systematic approach, which you accomplished by remaining calm, organized, and thorough. Jennifer, by showing gratitude for the opposing viewpoint, you helped to promote a productive debate environment. While presenting the benefits and challenges, you demonstrated a commitment to developing a solution that considers various points of view. Excellent example of "healthy and unhealthy conflicts." We both received helpful feedback from Dr. Jackson, as far as, making sure the body language and tones are congruent. I decided to review some of our peers who received great feedback and mirroring where I can improve at. I thought this assignment would be easy but not so much. So, with practice I know we will illustrate these conflicts much better. I like you demonstrated the healthy conflict approach. You had good suggestions for collaboration and inclusion. My takeaway from this discussion post is as a leader, our tone and demeanor set the stage for challenging discussions or meetings.
