This is very important for effective intervention. Being able to work with families can also help you develop a deeper understanding of various cultural backgrounds. This is very important for effective practice in a multicultural and globalized society. Families may resist change, especially when they perceive social service workers as outsiders. Fostering collaboration and overcoming resistance can be very challenging. While working with families can be very challenging, it can also provide a valuable opportunity to address various issues. Developing effective communication and collaboration skills is very important for social service workers.
