CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY 2 Corporate social responsibility (CSR) refers to social accountability of businesses to itself, stakeholders and the public. By practicing social responsibilities, companies show how conscious they are in impacting the society. It also means that companies are operating in a way that improves the society positively instead of impacting them positively. I believe corporate have social responsibility since it is important to the community as it is equally valuable to the business operated. Besides, social responsibility can help corporate have a stronger connection between the corporations and employees (Michel & Buler, 2016). Often, corporate that is socially responsible have operating businesses that have grown to a point that they can engage in giving back to the society. For this reason, I believe that businesses should be socially responsible in order to grow and develop their brand image since customers usually do businesses with brands that are socially conscious in the community. Also, social responsibilities are also important for corporate public relations. In addition, businesses should be socially responsible since at the long run, they are likely to have major benefits that will help grow their businesses. By engaging in community works, business firms are able to retain and attract more customers in their business. Besides, by engaging in social responsibilities, business firms gain popularity by being noticed by serious consumers which turns to be a valuable facet of a business (Michel & Buler, 2016). Also, social responsibilities empower employees to provide quality services to the customers and also empower them to control resources from the business firms at the expense of doing well. In return, corporates are able to be competitive and gain more consumers from the community. By being socially responsible, employees are boosted to accelerate and provide quality productivity in their workforce (Michel & Buler, 2016).
