2 Core Of Christianity Christianity is a monotheistic religion that believes in only one God, and its fundamental vital beliefs center on the teachings of the Bible; Jesus' life, death, and resurrection; our sins; salvation; and eternal life. Myers and Noebel (2016) define Christianity as "a theistic worldview centered on the person of Jesus Christ that obtains its understanding of the universe via the teachings of the Holy Bible"(p. 33) in their book Understanding the Times: A Survey of Competing Worldview. Christians believe that God created the world and wields divine authority over it (Genesis 1:1). The authors emphasize that in philosophy, God is the necessary condition for everything else. Christianity's core beliefs begin with God's creation of the world and all living things on it, stating that God is omnipotent and omniscient “The Lord has spoken—he who made these things known so long ago” (Holy Bible, (2015), Acts 15:18).” Omnipresent, sustaining all things and being the necessary condition for everything else. We believe that man is a spiritual and physical being made in the likeness of God. But because of his or her sin or tran sgression, man has broken fellowship with God. Because of how widespread sin is, its effects can still be seen today in the forms of cruelty, disease, suffering, and death. Jesus Christ, who is both fully God and fully human, was sent to free us from our slavery to sin by the grace of God. We hold to the doctrine that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, that He died on the cross to atone for our sins, that He bodily rose from the dead, and that He will one day come again to judge the world and deliver His people. The only way for a person to be saved from judgment and eternal damnation is through faith in Christ alone (not faith + works). We acknowledge the church as a divinely
3 appointed organization led by Christ. The church is made up of all Christians and is structured for teaching, worship, fellowship, administering communion and baptism, spiritual growth, and support, and evangelizing the globe. True Christians aspire to be a part of local church assemblies where the Word of God is correctly taught. To be considered a Christian: Christians must believe in the Trinity: Christians believe in the idea of the Trinity, which claims that God lives as three different individuals - the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit - yet is still one God. “This is what the Lord says—Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies: “I am the First and the Last; there is no other God Who is like me? ( Holy Bible, NLT ( 2015), Isaiah 44:6-7)” Christians must believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who came to Earth as a human being, lived an immaculate life, died on the cross for the forgiveness of sins, and was raised from the dead. Matthew 3:16-17 says, “After his baptism, as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and settling on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy ( Holy Bible, NLT, (2015), Matthew 3:16-17).” Belief in the Bible as the Word of God: Christians believe that the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, containing teachings and instructions for faith and life. Belief in salvation through faith in Jesus Christ: Christians believe that salvation is obtained through faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross, rather than through personal efforts or good works. Belief in the resurrection and eternal life: Christians believe in the resurrection of the dead and the promise of eternal life with God for those who have faith in Jesus Christ.

4 Belief in the power of prayer and the necessity of worshiping God both personally and communally: Christians believe in the power of prayer and the value of worshiping God both individually and communally. These are some of the fundamental ideas that are widely held to be required for a person, institution, or church to be deemed Christian. However, it is crucial to recognize that within Christianity, there are numerous denominations and interpretations, and specific beliefs and practices may vary to some extent. In conclusion, Christians believe in the Trinity, consisting of the Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit, representing one God. They view Jesus Christ as the Son of God, who came to Earth as a human being, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for forgiveness, and was resurrected. They also believe in the Bible as the Word of God, containing teachings for faith and life. Christians believe that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross, rather than personal efforts or good works. They also believe in resurrection and eternal life for those who have faith in Jesus Christ.
