Biblically Faithful Theology Letter Greetings church family as well to those who may be new here today. Now, it is with pure delight and great joy to be able to read aloud to everyone this letter regarding biblical theology. Some of you may be wondering, just what is biblical theology exactly as well as why do I seem to be so eager to talk about it? Well hold onto your seats because you are all about to find out as we embark on an exciting adventure together exploring this topic. One way that somebody could think of biblical theology, is that it is like the greatest treasure hunt ever and so is the ultimate treasure waiting to be discovered. How cool is that right! In other words, biblical and or Christian theology is the study of the living God and His revelation to mankind. Now, according to (Highfieled,2008) God has revealed Himself by two kinds of doctrine revelations. The first is through general revelation. What this means is that God simply can be known by what He has created. For example, The Bible declares that God created the heavens and the earth. In Romans 1, beautifully illustrates God’s wounders of His majesty and revealing of who He is within His creation-earth, animals, human beings, weather, and the stars. The seconded doctrine- God’s revelation, is the revealing of who he is. For instance. He had chosen to reveal Himself to certain individuals. Example- would be mosses meeting God at the burning bush. Here God shows that He is Holy, light, powerful, and declares that He is the Great I Am, the Lord and sends Mosses on an epic quest to deliver His people from slavery from the rath of the pharaoh of Egypt. Also, at mount Sinai, God’s presence comes onto the Israelites during the receiving of the ten commandments. This was to reveal His Standard to mankind, by which people are to observe and live by(Prescott,2022 ). However, the most Supreme out of God’s special revelations, is the birth of His only begotten Son Jesus on earth. This is because 3
according to the bible, Jesus was fully God and man as well as was sent to be a Holy sacrifice in order to save mankind from the deadly wages of sin. Now according to (Prescott,2022) another aspect of biblical theology that is important to note and understand is that it also serves as an anchor towards establishing sound presumptions about the Holy bible. For instance, both theologians and Christians believe on the notion that God truly does exist. Thus, He should be feared/respected, loved, studied, and talked about and obeyed. Second notion is that mankind would not know anything about God if he did not choose to reveal himself to humanity through His creation and His Holy book. So, because of this, the third notion is that the creator of this breath-taking beautiful universe wants to be known as well as have an intimate relationship with us. We come to learn and know this due to the integrity of the incredible Holy Scriptures that has been written and preserved within both the old and New Testament of the Holy bible. So according to The Holy Scriptures in God’s Holy word, it is declared that “all scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Tim. 3:16-17). In simpler terms, (Highfield,2008) the Lord is the ultimate Arthur of all Holy scriptures and through His Holy Word, has chosen to reveal to us who He is and His Standard that He has deemed for mankind to live by. So, because of this, Christians and biblical scholars hold fast to the belief that because the bible is God breathed/inspired, that it holds ultimate authority and truth above everything else. Along with this belief is also birthed church traditions, spiritual and academic disciplines. Meaning, believers of God’s word carefully aim to strive to put into practice only what the Bible teaches, and commands. Anything that is not deemed to be biblically sound and or accurate is not to be accepted or practiced. (Holy Bible). By growing in our understanding and love for God and standing on the foundation of His Holy word can help us to know Him better, 4

know what is right from wrong and be able to discern what is truth and what is false in accordance with the Holy scripture. It is my prayer that God has inspired everyone here today to seek after the ultimate treasure which is Him and to hold fast to His truth and to obey the teachings of Jesus Christ. Thankyou and God bless everyone. 5
