When you think about "The Four Gospels," you think about the present to us, the person and work of our blessed Savior; still, everyone's views of Him in a relationship only served to focus on the separate design that each Evangelist had before he found a place in his Gospel. Matthew and Luke include infancy narratives and genealogies. At the same time, Mark keeps his mystery motif, and John poetically identifies Jesus as the One who existed with God and became
human. Each author conveys Jesus' identity to address the concerns of their hearers.
We have four gospels because back in the early church days, four people thought it was necessary to tell the story about the blood of Jesus from four different perspectives. The Gospel was written to a different set of people and by another author trying to accomplish another purpose. The four Gospels were the most significant to medieval Christians. They would tell a story about Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Savior of humanity. The four Gospels were, therefore, often gathered in a separate volume in the Middle Ages. This difference between the four gospels is that each Gospel presents Christ and the life and freedom he brings to a specific audience. Matthew announces Jesus as the promised Messiah, Mark proclaims the power of Christ in an action-packed account, Luke shares longer stories and parables, and John breaks the mold to create a piece of poetry on the nature of Jesus. Each of the four Gospels gave us a pretty portrait that focused on the earthly ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Each has a distinctive viewpoint or perspective, and an author with a
particular audience writes each. In conclusion, the four gospels are essential in the New Testament because they are trying
to send a message about Jesus. The audience and this have to think of them as a kind of preaching and storytelling. That's what the Gospel, The Good News, is all about. Nothing but good things can come from learning about the four gospels because it is a good thing to learn
from and about. If you know about this, I promise it will be nothing but great things you can pass
