What teaching from either of the above scripture assignments taught you something about the Savior that was particularly meaningful to you? (Please reference the scripture, quote the key sentence, and then, using at least 50 words of your own, please explain what you learned about Christ.) Scripture Reference: Acts 3: 12-16 Key Sentence: “and his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong What did you learn about Christ? Faith, especially faith in Christ, is so incredibly powerful. This verse talks about the fact that faith had made him strong, and I know that it can do the same for me. I feel more confident in the things I am doing when I I have faith that the Lord is on my side. It gives me hope that anything is possible. 8. What teaching from either of the above reading packet assignments taught you something about the Savior that was particularly meaningful to you? (Please reference the assigned reading, quote the key sentence, and then, using at least 50 words of your own, please explain what you learned about Christ.) Assigned Reading: Miracles Key Sentence: “To deny the reality of miracles on the ground that the results and manifestations must be fictitious simply because we cannot comprehend the means by which they have happened is arrogant on the face of it.” 3 What did you learn about Christ? Christ is all powerful and it would be crazy for us to deny his miracles simply because we do not understand them. We need to have faith in the amount of power that He has. We need to look at things wil eternal eyes and not just our mortal earthy eyes.
9. What teaching (or scene) from either of the above video assignments taught you something about the Savior that was particularly meaningful to you? (Please reference the video, identify the key teaching [or scene], and then, using at least 50 words of your own, please explain what you learned about Christ.) Video: Key Sentence (or Scene): “You must be ready and worthy to act” What did you learn about Christ? Even though this video is directed to priesthood holders I think that it can still apply to everyone. I know that Jesus Christ wants us to always be ready to serve him in any way that we can and in any way we are needed to. 10. For your semester project , which one of the following Christlike attributes have you chosen to focus on developing more fully this semester so as to facilitate your efforts to become more like the Savior? Faith Hope Charity/Love Virtue Knowledge Patience Humility Diligence Obedience Honesty/Integrity Other: Judgment 11. What teaching from any of the scriptures or readings assigned for this week—or what teaching (or scene) from any of the videos assigned for this week— do you feel best applies to your semester project ? Then, using at least 50 words of your own, please explain how this teaching [or scene] applies to your project). Scripture Reference, Assigned Reading, or Video: Key Sentence (or Scene): How does this apply to your project? 12. As you think about what is currently going on in your life (i.e., your joys, your pains, your achievements, your challenges, your responsibilities, your interests, your pending decisions, your family concerns, etc.), what else did you learn from any of the scriptures, readings, or videos assigned for this week that was particularly meaningful to you ? (Please reference the scripture, assigned reading, or video, and identify the key sentence [or scene]. Then, without being too personal, please use at least 50 words of your own to explain why this teaching [or scene] is important to you.) Scripture Reference, Assigned Reading, or Video: Miracles Key Sentence (or Scene): The ultimate miracle is the atonement of Jesus Christ Why is this important to you? This is important to me because without the atonement I would not be able to live my with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. It truly is a miracle because it affects every single person, and it showed His incredible and infinite power. 13. Based on what you learned from the scriptures, readings, and videos that were assigned for this week, what is one specific thing that you will “go and do” so as to develop the attribute that you selected for your semester project and bring about the improvement in your discipleship that you are currently seeking?
