4.5 Assignment: Final Project Prep First, explain the learning theory selected. Then , thinking about the disorder you have chosen, in three to four sentences explain the major characteristics of the selected learning theory as they relate to your disorder. For example, how can the symptoms of the disorder be learned or reinforced through a learning theory process? Clearly explain the learning theory selected and be sure to include a specific example. Behavioral Learning Theories Classical conditioning Operant conditioning Observational Learning Observation Learning is the practice of observing the behavior of others to learn. The observed behavior is observed, remembered, and then imitated. It is also referred to as forming and modeling. Observation learning is most prevalent in children, as they imitate the behavior of adults. Social learning theory says that in many cases, the decisions are not based on a person's own history of reward and punishment but come about through human observation. Specifically, this framework is of the opinion that human learning takes place mainly in social contexts where subjects can influence others on their decisions and outcomes. These ideas, which are based on a lot of basic and applied studies, are in line with what's known about reduced reward learning and how people respond to rewards, as well as how depression is seen as a wide range of different disorders.
