(objectively)- use jot notes Both children wanted to paint Child A asks if they can paint on their hands too Child B waiting patiently for the teacher to let him know he can start “grab yourself a paper” Child A is taking her time to paint her hand to get every spot Child B says the paint is ticklish “its tickling me” Child A and B both tap the brushes before taking them out fully Child C respectfully asks “can someone please turn the tap on” Child B paints his hand with both red and green color, on a second piece of paper he has handprints of only green and on the third one he paints the paper with only red handprints

Fill out the bullet points below to support your paragraph. Developmental Area #1: Social Emotional Development - Communication/Language Skills What skills/abilities did you observe? Both children learned to paint their hands to get a handprint on a paper, by watching their teachers. Its important because kids are with their teachers for most of the day and they get attached to their teachers and learn things from them. Skill is learning, from others. Teacher communicated well with child B for example, “when taking the brush out, tap on the bottle so it doesn’t spill” says the teacher, and Child B listened and always tapped on it. Communication skill is listening, also learning when taking something out of water always tap on it so it doesn’t have as pill. Child D (in the background) says “Oh my god” teacher corrects child D by saying “Oh my gosh” and extending the ‘sh’. Child D later on said “Oh my gosh”. Communication skill because he listened and learned. Developmental Area #2: Cognitive Development – Thinking Skills What skills/abilities did you observe?
What Interests/likes did it appear that the child display? Interpretation: (In paragraph form)
