How stable is the international system? stability of a system is varied based on the control systems area or the economic or political statuses. The international system stability relies on the direction in which it is evolving, developing, and its ability to meet all the challenges, are all dependent on the extent upon the factors and how the central actors within the position themselves and the strategies those actors create. What conditions must be present to attain and maintain stability? A stable society is mainly obtained when all the people within that society are at harmony or peace with themselves and each other politically, economically, and other aspects of growth balance. The factors include: The level of economic development, the amount of dependence of foreign trade, domestic political stability, the distribution of economic resources, the structure of the government, international status, and related geography. These factors increase efficiency through directing or attracting investments, infrastructure development, or more effective uses of the natural resources and climate. What part does the sovereignty of states play in this balance of power game? States can pursue a balance of power in a few ways. Those being by increasing their own power aspect, as when entering an arms race, the annexation of territories, power that of other states, as when factors are embarking upon a policy of alliances. The concept of balance of power is between the bigger and smaller countries or the economic, political, and other aspects by cooperating with each other more fundamentally, economically, and technologically. Were there multipolar systems in this long history that were stable? If so, does the power have to be evenly distributed among a certain number of actors? If it is equally distributed, does it ensure that all states will survive? What could unbalance this type of system? Yes, multipolar systems that have been emerging since 1945 to 1989. At the end of the Cold War the world was divided into a bipolar system where the main power was concentrated in the hands of two nations, the US and USSR. Now a multipolar system can be seen throughout where economies have thrived in recent years, those including China, India, Germany meaning that there have been successful multipolar systems since 1945 and 1989. No, multipolar doesn’t mean an equal division of power between all the actors. It means the division of power, so the power is not only restricted to one nation. Yes, if power is equally distributed then all the actors will have their say in world affairs and every actor will be able to exercise its own power. This would then ensure the survival of each state. If there are 3 or more superpowers among which the power is not equally distributed, then it can unbalance a multipolar division of power as it would lead to conflict and chaos between the superpowers, it could also lead to war.
