Week 1 Discussion 2
March 3, 2020
For our second discussion post of week 1 we must explore the 6 steps of the critical thinking process. We then must explain what steps hold the most importance to an employer and why those steps are important. To begin the six steps of critical thinking are explain the problem or issue, apply knowledge and comprehension, use different perspectives to view the issue and consider alternatives, analyze the evidence, formulate solutions, and transfer into action steps. According to Campbell “critical
can also be developed through engaging students in learning during class.” (2019) Critical thinking skills begin when you are a child in school. If you don’t interact much in class, then you may not have good critical thinking skills as an adult. The steps of critical thinking that I believe would be the most important to an employer would be explain a problem, and transfer into action steps. I believe these would be the most important for an employer because it shows that you have knowledge and can put what you know into actions. To conclude, I defined the 6 steps of critical thinking. I also explained what I believe would be the most important for an employer to be interested in. There may be a lot of things that employers are looking at, but I believe critical thinking would be a huge part of an employer hiring you. References
