Personal Narrative: The Laws Of Life Laws of Life A man consumed of alcohol and a four–wheeler; that's a good combination right? Never allow anyone to drive a four–wheeler that consists of more than two passengers. Especially if that person has consumed a few beers. As exciting as it might sound, it is extremely dangerous. I say this with past experience; it was not as tragic as you may think. On a hot summer day when I was around the age of thirteen, my family and I were having a cook out in our back yard. While the food was being grilled my Uncle Scottie volunteered to drive the children on the four–wheeler. This for us children was the most exciting thing ever. Before the four– wheeler left the yard, he checked the gas. We were running low on gas however; there was enough ...show more content... Without questioning the state my cousin was in my mother immediately placed her in the car. After getting in the vehicle also I hear Uncle Scottie tell mom that he is going to Aunt April's to explain the accident. As mom got in the driver's seat she asked Samantha to state her name. She was able to state her name and answer the other questions correctly. Mom kept telling her talk so we were aware that she was still conscious. When we arrived at Samantha's Uncle Scottie was already there explaining the situation to Aunt April. Samantha's face began to swell real badly. So my Aunt April rushes her to the hospital. There was nothing else I could do; I felt helpless. My family and I went home and waited. A few hours went by before we revived a phone call saying that Samantha was fine. She had a severe concussion and about eight percent of road rash, mostly on the left side of her face and left Get more content on StudyHub.Vip
Cycle Of Life Essay Examples Cycle of Life Essay The cycle of life is a series of changes in a living organism that will eventually be replaced by a new organism. This new organism will then go through the same changes as the one before it. The cycle of life theme is incorporated into many stories throughout history although the exact role the theme plays in each story can vary. One of the ways it can be seen is through the use of concrete examples, meaning someone is born and dies. Abstract examples are another way the cycle of life can be shown in stories. Abstract examples would include such things as the sun rising and setting which gives the reader a visual of time lapse. "Lightning Crashes", "The Lion King", and "Indian Camp" all share the same theme of the ...show more content... Disney also uses examples of concrete life when Simba is presented to all the animals in the pride land as the newborn prince. This is important to the cycle of life because there always is an end and beginning to everyone's life. Along with "The Lion King", "Indian Camp" shares all four elements of the cycle of life. In "Indian Camp" by Ernest Hemingway, the theme of the cycle of life is evident. Hemingway displays this theme by utilizing both abstract and concrete examples of life and death. For an example, Hemingway uses light and dark in contrast to life and death. When Nick and his father see "in the shanty nearest the road there was a light in the window", it shows there is life in the shanty. However, when "the young indian stopped and blew out his lantern", the dark represents a death about to occur in the shanty they enter (1).This is important because if it did not happen in the story, the reader would not be able to foreshadow a life beginning or ending. He further conveys the theme of cycle of life by using the following as concrete examples of life and death. In the story, "his father picked up the baby and slapped it to make it breathe" (2). Afterwards, when they went to tell the father, "his throat had been cut from ear to ear" (3). Hemingway uses both light and dark and life and death in order to display the theme of the cycle of life. The theme of cycle of life is Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

To Build A Fire, By Jack London Nature is depicted in various ways throughout literature. It can be described as full of hope and beauty as well as an unstoppable force that always results in the downfall of life. The latter is a more accurate depiction for "The Law of Life" and "To Build a Fire" written by Jack London. In these short stories, he gives a more pessimistic description of nature. Humans rely on nature to survive. Some people accept this, but others are too proud. The fact is that individual life does not continue forever, but nature lives on. Humans need nature in order to survive– this is a simple biological fact. Without nature, humans would have been gone a long time ago, if they were even alive in the first place. The tribe of people in "The Law of ...show more content... People do not live forever, and his ancestors went through the same situation he was going through. It was only fair that he should accept and obey the law of life. Towards the end of the story, the reader can tell that he might have not completely accepted his fate, as he attempted to fight back against coyotes around him by waving a burning stick. However, he soon realized that there was no need for him protect himself because he would end up dying anyway. He put down the stick and accepted his fate once more. While some people may accept that they need nature in order to survive, others prefer to believe that they have the strength and skills to survive completely on their own. They are proud and do not listen to the advice of others. The man in "To Build a Fire" thought he was going to be perfectly fine traveling on his own without other people for help. In the beginning of the story, he strongly believed that, "[a]ny man who was a man could travel alone" (London 72). He thought that he was fully capable of surviving in the harsh conditions. Throughout most of the story, his pride got in the way and he refused to believe in the severity of his situation. He could barely move his own face because it was literally freezing, but he insisted to himself that it was nothing to be concerned about. As the man traveled in sub–zero temperatures, he slowly began to freeze to death . The wolf–dog traveling Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

Literary Analysis Running head: LITERARY ANALYSIS Literary Analysis Sergio Scott Grand Canyon University ENG–353 American Literature II Susan Crannell September 28, 2011 Sergio Scott Susan Crannell ENG 353 September 29, 2011 Literary Analysis Naturalism was a literary movement that took place from the 1880s until the 1940s. It used realism as a mechanism to suggest that social conditions, heredity, and environment had a monumental impact in changing or defining human character. Naturalism exposes the dark areas of life and how they affected people, such as sex, violence, disease, prejudice, abandonment, disease, and even death . Naturalism, in short, is a need to return to the earth. (Williams, 571) A prime example of this literary theory ...show more content... Another characteristic of the story that allows it to be classified under the Naturalism genre is the fact that the entire story focuses around abandonment. This was established within the very first paragraph of the story, as shown in the excerpt "Sit–cum–to–ha was his daughter's daughter, but she was too busy to waste a thought upon her broken grandfather, sitting alone there in the snow, forlorn and helpless". At first, Old Koskoosh panicked at the thought of dying alone in the freezing cold, but slowly and surely he started to realize his fate and why his family members made the decision to pursue on and leave him behind. An aspect of the story that really made it stand out and gave it an added touch of realism was how calmly Old Koskoosh accepted his fate. Evidence of this acceptance can be seen in this excerpt: "He bowed his head in content till the last noise of the complaining snow had died away, and he knew his son was beyond recall. Then his hand crept out in haste to the wood. It alone stood between him and the eternity that yawned in upon him. At last the measure of his life was a handful of fagots. One by one they would go to feed the fire, and just so, step by step, death would creep upon him. When the last stick had surrendered up its heat, the frost would

The Sources of English Law Essay example The Sources of English Law In UK there are three main sources of English law, Legislation (Statue Law), Common Law (Judge–made Law) and the European Communities law. English Law was historically based on customs and social traditions. Today Custom Law is a part of Common Law, notably being in cases where there was no judicial precedent but which were known to exist since time memorial (i.e. since 1189). Many of these laws such as the Fisherman's Case (1894) 2 East PC 661( http://wilmington.butterworths.co.uk/citator–0/Citator.ASP? WCI=tmpSearch&WCE=Form&WCU=) in criminal law and Beckett Ltd v. Parliament can delegate the power to legislate to various bodies such as local authorities, the Crown and ministers. Delegated legislation has same legal force and effect as the Act of Parliament. The advantages of delegated legislation are: time saving, access to particular expertise and, flexibility. On the other hand it can be a disadvantage due to lack of accountability and effective scrutiny as it can erode the constitutional powers of the Parliament. Another major source of law comes from judges deciding cases before them, also referred to as Case Law. Judges use various rules to interpret legislation and the intention of the Parliament. For example, in the case of Royal College of Nursing v. DHSS [1981] 1 All ER 545, three judges gave their judgment using the mischief rule and two judges used the literal rule to interpret the Abortion Act 1967, and the intention of the Parliament (173 and 174 Slapper G. and Kelly D. The English Legal System (5th Edition), (2001) Cavendish Publishing Ltd, London, Sydney). One example of when judges have actually made new law is the case of R v. R [1994] 4 All ER 48 decided in the House of Lords. The court re–interpreted the legislation so that a husband could be found guilty of raping his wife. 'Stare decisis' or binding precedent is at the heart of the English legal system and case law is particularly dependent on it. It refers to Get more content on StudyHub.Vip
Ethics, Morals, And Laws Essay Ethics are defined as "moral principles, as of an individual." Giving dropped money back to a blind man is an example of good ethics. I believe in having a strong sense of ethics. Morality or morals can be defined as "of, relating to, or concerned with the principles or rules of right conduct or the distinction between right and wrong." I believe having a good moral sense is crucial to participate in the world. Without one, you can make a lot of people angry, you could get fired from a job, or you could even get thrown in jail. Legality or the laws which govern us are rules we are forced to live by. They keep us in line and stop us from doing unjust things. I believe in the Judeo–Christian laws of our country. People who don't abide by the strong morals of our country, or who are unethical, have the capacity to damage our society. The difference between Ethics , Morals, and Laws is slim. Morals make up ethics. Legality takes ethical practices and tells you things you can't do based on what society thinks of as right and wrong. Computer hacking can be both ethical and unethical. Ethical hacking is when something is hacked legally and helps better the community. For example, operating systems are usually hacked by their creators to see what the vulnerabilities are. Then they are fixed or patched. The most serious issue in the computer world (and in the presidential race) is unethical hacking. Unethical hacking is when someone steals data for their own gain, or when someone Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

What Is The Laws Of Life Essay The primary of life is to complete what you start, simply because if you never finish what's the importance of life. Life is about doing as much as you can in this little time that we have in this planet. I personally can't start something and not finish it because when I finish it what I'm doing or started it gives me a sense of accomplishment, which makes you feel proud. The Laws of Life I personally follow is if you do good; good will come to you, finish what you start, and be open minded about everything because you only have this one life and you never know what you could miss out on if you don't stay open minded. If you do good, good will come to you also known as karma. I believe that karma follows if you do someone wrong or if you don't complete something that you're asked, for example parents with kids they have chores for the kids to go and if they don't finish that task then they're going to have a ...show more content... And since I stayed open minded I have gained so many more skills and I've gained so much knowledge from it and I have personally found something that I love to do, and the greatest thing that came from me being in welding is I was think about dropping out, but I'm so glad I didn't because to complete school is one of the many great accomplishment you will have, and I feel pretty accomplished completing each school year but to finally be done so I can go to college and be a welder, that's something I never thought would happen to Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

Laws Of Life Coined By Author Farley Mowat Laws of life essay –What are Laws of life? According to Wikipedia , The Law of Life is a term coined by author Farley Mowat in his 1952 book People of the Deer, and popularized by Daniel Quinn, to denote a universal system of various natural principles, any of which tend to best foster life–in other words, any of which best guides behavior that tends toward the reproductive success ". Laws of life to myself are written and unwritten rules that the majority of humans on this earth has heard before ether in a quote from a movie , book , song and etc . Not all of these laws are written or official . These laws are various from being in a children's book or in your favorite song . Newton's Three Laws of Motion Essay example We experience each of Sir Isaac Newton's laws everyday. In a car, pushing a car, or even in a fight. All of these laws have to do with motion. You can experience the first law in a stopping car, the second when you are a pushing a shopping cart, and the third one in the water. Newton's first law in laymen terms is 'An object in motion tends to stay in motion, and an object at rest tends to stay at rest, unless the object is acted upon by an outside force.' You would feel the law if you were in a fast moving car, lets say 70 mph, which suddenly comes to a stop. You would continue to move forward (If you didn?t have a seat belt on) but the car would come to a stop. You would then continue to move through the air at 70 mph until you hit ...show more content... The impact would hurt very much because of Newton?s Third law, which I will explain later. Newton?s second law can be explained with the equation, A=F/M or F=MA, where A=Acceleration, F=Force, and M=Mass. In normal words, Acceleration is produced when a force acts on a mass. The greater the mass (of the object being accelerated) the greater the amount of force needed (to accelerate the object). You can use this formula to see how much force is needed to move certain objects. Lets say Mike?s car is about 1,000 kg. He pushes it at .06 m/s/s. The equation would be F=1,000(.05). The answer is F=50 Newtons (the SI unit for Force). If Bob is trying to move a van, which was about 2,000 kg at the same acceleration, then he would need to use twice the force that Mike had to because Bob?s car is 2,000 kg and Mike?s is 1,000 kg. Newton?s third law says that every action has an equal and opposite re–action. These are two separate forces, which act upon two separate objects, and so they do not cancel each other out. If you punch someone?s face, not only does your hand apply force to the victim?s face, but also the victim?s face applies a force on your hand. Therefore, your hand hurts and so does the victim?s face but since the face is softer than the hand, it will hurt more. If you push a van with roller blades on with 100 Newtons, you will be pushing the van at 100 N and the van will be pushing you at 100 N. In a second, bob will have moved 2 m and the Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

Life Without Laws Lawless Imagine a world in which laws were non–existent. Stop signs wouldn't exist, you would never have to wear a seatbelt and you would never get pulled over for speeding. You wouldn't even have to worry about paying your taxes. Do you think a life without laws or rules would be easier? Laws are set in place for everyone in society to maintain balance and order. While it is infeasible to live in the world without rules or laws, it is very possible to be above the law. This essay aims to display the disparity of how the law applies to regular people versus celebrities, police , and politicians. No matter how much we'd all like to admit it, celebrities play a role in our everyday lives. We love to watch movies with our favorite actors, and listening to music by our favorite singers. Social media and Magazines practically do nothing but talk about the lives of celebrities, mostly praising the way they dress and handle their daily lives. Celebrities are everywhere. They are put on a major pedestal and even seem to get by with things that normal people would not. Celebrities seem to have a sort of immunity. All kinds of celebrities have been involved in criminal acts, but almost always receive a more lenient punishment. Sentencing varies from traffic school, rehab and anger management. It is commonly known that the law is often quite sympathetic to famous people that commit crimes. Most get a slap on the wrist. The O.J Simpson trial is an example of how famous Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

The Law of Life, by Jack London What lengths should one go to in order to survive? This is a question which has challenged the human race for generations and to which no satisfactory answer exists. In the modern world, this issue is examined theoretically, but rarely confronts individuals, with the exception of the most destitute. However, in harsh environments and forbidding territories, this matter becomes very real and pressing. Nature pays no attention to the arbitrary emotions of man, demanding only the forfeiture of the sorrowfully short life granted to him. Many would argue that in order to delay the inevitable conclusion awaiting every man, humans must act upon their primal intuition rather than their emotions. Jack London's "The Law of Life" includes this ...show more content... In modern society, the stability of human life has been improved such that, in weighing decisions, factors other than instinct are taken into account. In the harsh and unforgiving environment of Old Koshkoosh's homeland, however, children are instructed to suppress their emotions and accept survival instinct as the law of life. As identified by Old Koshkoosh's description of the cycle as eternal, this belief is one imparted to him by his elders. Although he is an independent person, the traditions of his tribe influence many of his decisions. Accordingly, he was taught to make decisions based upon whether they would increase his chances of survival. This primordial propensity towards instinctual courses of action serves as foundation for his tribe's way of life and, in practice, trumps individual emotions. Old Koshkoosh was indoctrinated with this ancestral tradition of deriving the appropriate pathway from instinct for much of his early life, and it determined a decision in his adulthood which defined him for the rest of his life. The narrator described Koshkoosh's recollection of the event, saying "He remembered how he had abandoned his own father on an upper reach of the Klondike one winter..." (749). Tribal devotion to the titular "law of life," the natural phenomena which allowed only the strong to live and Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

Laws of Life "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye" How does one explain the sensation of that mystical? Almost never is it explained within tangible description. Almost always it is explained within a range of feelings, and other than bodily expressions; one cannot use their five primal to sense emotions. How does one explain the emotion of love? If it is with any of the five senses, then surely their feelings are lust. What is faith? Belief in the unproved. How can one prove what they have faith in, if not by science or some earthly sensation? It is by that which is not sensed by the eye, but felt by the heart. Those who do not see by heart are those who harm others. Those who do not see by heart will, at some point, break others'. They who use their eyes to judge are the bullies in life. They who rely on their eyes are the cheats, and subsequently; the victims of the manipulators. Those who know the invisible know only peace. They are the ones who shelter others' hearts. They who use their hearts to judge know not to bully in life; for they know that everyone, including themselves, have something to learn. They who know how to trust their hearts do not fall prey to manipulation, and know better than to manipulate. The difference between those with trust in the heart and those who place too much petty trust in their eyes is a billionaire (about the spirit with trust in their heart) and a beggar Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

My First Law Of Life Each contact with a human being is so rare and precious which one should preserve. This means that every person one comes in contact with has an influence on his life. One should never forget the people who go out of their way to be nice to them. Influences others have on my life are the most important details of my life. There have been many influences on my life, three of which stand out the most, my laws of life. My laws of life are to pursue my goals, to love, and to face challenges with positivity. My first law of life is to pursue my goals in any circumstance. It could be a goal in relation to career, finances, faith, relationships, health or any other aspect of life. Placing it in the present tense as if I'm already there because life is not what we dream it's what we make it. No matter what repeat the process a few times and allow your confidence to rise. Always be confident on your decision. Just as John in the Brave New World who leaves his Indian homeland and faces battles and pursues his goals in life without leaving his morals upon arriving to the World State which is the total opposite of his beliefs. "The savage nodded gloomily. At Malpais he had suffered because they had shut him off from the communal activities of the pueblo, in civilized London he was suffering because he could never escape from those communal activities, never be quietly alone" (Huxley 235). However, though he his faced with trials he does not leave his beliefs and his goals in life. Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

The Natural Law Theory Essay examples Obeying by the natural law theory is the only true and moral way to live life; especially a life lived in God's image. God's presence is a guiding factor to obtaining a moral and virtuous life, which can only be obtained by following the natural law theory. God created a set of laws as a supreme guide for humans to live life, like any law these laws were created to ensure wellbeing for everyone. The laws he created are the civil law, the natural law and the divine law God created them from a law much superior than the rest, one which only God himself has the knowledge of, the eternal law. Humans actively participate in the eternal law of God by using reason in conformity with the Natural Law to discern what is good and evil(Magee 1). Of ...show more content... Whatever is in motion now was at rest until moved by something else, and that by something else, and so on. But if there were an infinite series of movers, all waiting to be moved by something else, then actual motion could never have got started, and there would be no motion now. But there is motion now. So there must be a First Mover which is itself unmoved. This First Mover we call God (Archon 1). The final crucial proof of the existence of God is Aquinas fourth proof. This proof looks at qualities of humans; all humans possess many different attributes which we consider unique to each individual. This is when standards are formed humans began to have a certain criteria for how or what someone with a given attribute should act or how they should portray themselves. The only way this standard could come into existence is to believe that there is a perfect creation possessing all qualities and expressing them in the most precise and perfect way. This perfect creation is God, the person in which humans get the laws at which the obeyed by. Aquinas five proofs of the existence of God are much more extensive but just looking at the proof of motion and the proof of perfection it becomes unquestionable that there is an almighty creation. This superior creation creates laws at which Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

Pro-Life Essay examples Pro–Life English I 1 Abortion, when the topic comes up, it is usually something people do not like to discuss. People may tend to avoid this issue for fear of offending or angering others but it is extremely important that the horrors of this brutal practice be addressed. During the years 1965–1996 over 515 million babies have been murdered, this is if you add the number of chemical and surgical abortions (www.rockforlife.org). This is what we need to understand: abortion kills and we need to know where it came from. The legalization of abortion started in Mississippi in the year 1966; it was used in the cases of rape. Then other states began to expand the use of abortion. For instance, if it was the case of rape, ...show more content... One way is called Partial Birth Abortion (D&X); it can kill babies up to thirty–two weeks old. The abortionist (murderer in this case) removes all of the baby from the mother except for the head, he then jab a pair of scissors in the back of the babies skull and then he uses a suction hose to suck out the babies brain. Then he uses forceps to crush the babies' skull and pull the rest of the babies' body out. Salt poisoning is also used, where salt is injected and the bay dies of convulsions due to salt poisoning (www.rockforlife.org). If they can say this is not murder, then what is? Abortion is not painless for the mother either. Over ninety–seven percent of women have reported feeling pain it is often described as intense, severe, or very severe. Abortion is also not without side effects. Complications such as bleeding, hemorrhaging, menstrual disturbances or inflammation of the reproductive organs. Sometimes abortion can cause damage to the uterus and make the woman infertile for the rest of her life. (Abortion some medical facts pamphlet.) Also if you are a women and have had an abortion you increase your chances of having breast cancer by fifty percent. Abortion has no good results in for the mother or the poor murdered baby. In the end it will always cause physical and emotional pain. What do religious beliefs have to do with abortion? They have everything to do with

Our interactions within the law and society may be described as acts of legal consciousness. The term 'legal consciousness' is used to describe an understanding of the law, society, and ones place within. This awareness is informed by, and informs our societal interaction at both a group and individual level. It is my strong belief, that through critical reflection of our legal consciousness, we are empowered with the ability to influence and analyze the role of law and its effectiveness within society. Legal consciousness is both a form of scrutiny and a device of law. It is the basis for the formation of opinions on some of the more difficult ethical or moral questions posed, such as; abortion and euthanasia. Abortion in Australia has ...show more content... Justice was at this point achieved for women who now, or in the future, would seek to have an abortion, however, for those lobbying for the right of the child it was and is not. Whilst in some instances, justice has to some extent, been achieved, this is not always the case. Euthanasia is one of the most, radically contested issues of today. Activists have continually sought law reform on this topic over the last 30 years. Yet, with similar issues as to that of abortion, it raises strong ethical and moral questions. In this case, the beliefs of those opposed have seen a halt on any reform. Meaning that justice, for those in some of the most horrific of life positions, is not being served. Euthanasia is another matter involving 'choice' and 'sanctity of life', it also continues the argument of liberal versus democratic, utilitarian perspectives. An example of the tension between these two principles is seen in comments made by the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference, 'the demands of common good must be measured against claims of liberties: a request for voluntary euthanasia is a request to be killed by another... Aspects of common good affected by the legislation of euthanasia include equal protection under the law,... and factors affecting an individuals sense of security a times when they are feeling particularly Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

Life Without Laws And Regulations Essay Life without laws and regulations would be a world that consists of chaos amongst societies and unfairness, human rights would be affected and our freedom would depend on the authorities of governments. Does this take away our rights based on the State of nature? The social contract would introduce and maintain a controlled society in which protects people's rights to life, liberty and protection of ones property. Life Essay : The Sanctity Of Life The Sanctity of Life The sanctity of life is defined as "a principle of implied protection regarding aspects of life which are said to be holy, sacred, or of some value that they are not to be violated." Killing is not just taking the life of another person or people, it is taking away their value as a human. Many people abuse human rights by mass shootings, or in some other way, shape, or form. The life of another human is very valuable, and many people take away that value. Many people have heard of the two sons of Adam and Eve , named Cain and Abel. This is one of the prime examples of someone violating the sanctity of human life. This can be traced forward to our time, where in one example a man killed his brother just out of jealously because the mother was showing "favoritism" toward one brother. When God created the world, He made all of us in the Image of Him. Now, this doesn't mean that we are exactly like Him, because nobody can be as perfect as God. This just means that we have a likeness with him, and that He wants us to act Godly, and through our actions we should spread the gospel and show Him through us. He intended that we would be the highest ranking all creatures in the world. Before the fall, God intended for all animals to be "nice" to each other, and not kill each other for food. Some may ask "Why is it bad for humans to kill each other, but killing animals isn't bad?". When Adam and Eve sinned, they killed a lamb, which was the first sacrifice. "To Build a Fire" and "The Law of Life" have the same theme and that is man vs nature. How are the same related well they start out with hardships with nature and they experience it in different ways. The other thing is that they both die because of nature the same way and that is hypothermia. How they experienced it differently is a contrast for example in "The Law of Life" the main character has to deal with nature for example they ran out of food and if they don't find any more food they will starve. For "To Build a Fire" the man is inexperienced and has never traveled to the Yukon and when he's walking he expected it to be cold but it was colder than he thought and he started to get frost bitten. The law affects people's everyday life and a business is not an exception. There are many definitions of law, but nor one can be generally accepted, because with so many types of the law, these definitions cannot cover every aspect of the law properly. Therefore, the law can be simply described as the principles, rules and regulations, created by the state (the parliament) and established within a community. From the history, in the time of Henry II, the law was based only on the customs that were then applied by all other judges all around the country, known as common law . Common law principles created the basis for today's law and helps distinguish between the law created by previous decisions and the law created by legislation. For instance, murder is a common law because it is not defined by the Act of Parliament, unlike theft what is defined by Theft Act 1968. Martin(2010) Since the Human Right Act 1998 section 2(1)(a) English law is determined by the European Union and the judge must take into account human right cases of the European Court of Justice as well as the English law cases. However, it is very different from the other countries law. In contrast, while deciding a case in the UK, judge is bound to apply a judicial precedent of a higher court, based on the previous cases' judgements and principles known as ratio decidendi (the reason for deciding), rather than being only guided by previous cases like other European Union countries.
