Response 3 Many professors want to see their students excel and become the best nurses in their practice. Therefore, many come up with various personalized teaching strategies to help students become confident in their ability to provide care. As an FNP, my roles include assessing, diagnosing and proposing the appropriate treatment and management plan for a wide variety of illnesses. Therefore, when taking my courses, I enjoy learning with hands on activities, for instance, while learning how to assess and diagnose patients, we all have written soap notes as part of learning activities. Through these activities, professors make learning fun and easy for nursing students. Soap notes also help us understand how to properly assess and diagnose a patient’s case. My current reading interests are on adult geriatrics. My role based on this area of interest include conducting an in-depth senior-centered physical evaluations. Therefore, I would recommend the book “Adult-Gerontology Practice Guidelines”, by Jill C. Cash published in 2023. This book is recent and includes the clinical points highlighting critical practice considerations. I would recommend this book to any NP interested in geriatrics care and because it offers a broad scope of information. If I had $100, I would spend it on a book that is going to be a companion in my quest to provide care as a nurse practitioner. ners conduct in-depth, senior-centered physical evaluations . They also evaluate patient mental health, dietary habits and external support networks. For seniors housed in long-term care facilities, GNPs monitor for environmental-specific problems.
