The victim is a 45-year-old male with superficial gunshot wound to the lower right abdomen. There appears to be no exit wound to the injury. While viewing the victim anteriorly, I noticed the bullet entered and penetrated the right lower quadrant about 2 centimeters inferior to the umbilicus in the hypogastric region of the abdominopelvic cavity. When viewing the body from a supine view it would look as if the wound would be
in the umbilical region.
2.
The organs located in the right lower quadrant potentially affected by the wound are the cecum, appendix, small intestines, and the right ureter. Other organs potentially affected by the wound located the hypogastric region are the bladder, part of the sigmoid colon, the anus, and the prostate. 3.
The plausible cause of death for this gunshot victim could have been due to internal, external hemorrhaging and damage to internal organs cause by the body positive feedback response in other to maintain homeostasis. The massive and rapid loss of blood resulting in the heart failure. The failing organ system in Aaron body as result of his type 1 diabetes is the Endocrine system which directs long-term changes in other organ systems with hormones (chemical messengers). The other system
affected by Aaron condition is the urinary system. The urinary system eliminates excess water, salts, and wastes with the help of the kidneys.
5.
Homeostasis affects thermo regulation in the body through negative feedback loop. In Aaron case the blood glucose in his body is not being absorbed because the pancreas is
no longer producing insulin as a result glucose is not going to his tissues. This disrupt the negative feedback loop since the body is unable to operate with the homeostasis normal range. This can cause permanent organ damage if homeostasis is not restored. 6.
The dietary interventions I would judge most effective in treating his type 1 diabetes would be to cut down on fat and starchy foods, try eating more protein, vegetables and whole grains. The medical intervention would be an insulin therapy in the form of a injection pen or pump. What is Diabetes?

Great job! I found your discussion easy to follow.
Greetings everyone,
My name is Clintricia "Clint" Baker. I am from the DFW area. I have lived here for most of my entire life. My expectations are to learn the fundamental concepts of Anatomy and Physiology, including structure, relationship, and the function of the body as a whole. Currently I possess an Associate Degree in Applied Science: Web and Internet Development/ Cyber Security and have
no medical professional work experience. I am a fulltime student enrolled in two of Parker University programs: Bachelor of Science in Anatomy (concurrent Doctor of Chiropractic Degree
program). One of my career goals are to become Chiropractor, open my own practice and maybe study or pursue Osteopathic medicine in the future.
My email address is cibaker02@parker.edu
