UNIV101: University Seminar Pacing Guide Welcome to UNIV-101: University Seminar. This course will provide you with foundational knowledge to prepare you for success in your BSN program. This course consists of five units, each beginning with a diagnostic assessment to demonstrate prior knowledge. It is important that you do not utilize any resources when completing the diagnostic assessments. Although this course is self-paced, you are strongly encouraged to work ahead as much as possible while completing work according to the pacing guide below. The weekly breakdown is a guideline; however, you can complete the course requirements early by working ahead. Week 1 Attend UNIV101: Student Orientation Meet and Greet Consider utilizing the Q&A forum to introduce yourself to classmates or post questions to the class Complete Unit 1: Reading and Critical Thinking Diagnostic Take your time to complete the Unit Diagnostic. There are 40 questions. Although the assessment is not timed, you should plan to allot approximately 40 minutes to complete the assessment. Your performance on the Unit Diagnostic will determine which topics you will spend more time reviewing to complete the course requirements. Week 2 Review the Unit Dashboard in edapt and identify the concepts that require completion for Unit 1: Reading and Critical Thinking Diagnostic. Concepts with a non-colored hexagon require completion. You will only need to complete the concepts that were not Mastered with 80% accuracy in the Unit Diagnostic. Unit 1: Reading and Critical Thinking Concepts. Estimated time to complete each concept is 30 minutes.
