Hello, I know I'm super late on my topic but I've been trying to figure out how to get the question. I believe I found the correct question that I'm supposed to be doing.
Question: Approximate the sample variance and standard deviation given the following frequency distribution:
Class Frequency
0-9 13
10-19 7
20-29 10
30-39 9
40-49 11
The variance is s^2=250
the standard deviation s=15.811388
count n=5
mean x=20
the sum of squares ss-1000
My number is 32
Section 3.2 #36 & Open Ended
Approximate population variance and standard deviation
σ2 = ∑(xi−μ)2/n
is the formula
Step 1 find the mean
I added all frequencies together and got 56 and then divided by the amount listed which was 6 and got 9.3.
Step 2
subtract mean from all values
Example:
(18-9.3)=8.7
(11-9.3)=1.7
Squared each result and added them together and got 119.34
Step 3
Divide sum by n so 119.34/6 =19.89
#2 Find standard deviation the standard deviation is the square root of the
variance
I did the square root of 19.89 squared not sure if m following correctly and got 19.89

Do you suffer from math anxiety? What do you think you can do to overcome it this session
One thing I can do to be sure I'm successful in the class is making sure I stay on schedule. I would say I do suffer from math anxiety a little I tend to
second guess in the middle of a problem only because I know one mistake ruins the entire problem. Good example the last part of this week's question I wasnt so sure i I was followung correctly.

after I reviewed the course announcements one thing I could do is attend the live lecture and to be able to ask questions if I don’t understand something this week live lecture was really help I attended it thanks Dr.Gates.
hello class my number is #18 which gives me section 3.2 #44b to answer below is the problem i solved step by step to get the answer
