The Excel file APEAL lists APEAL ratings for various vehicles from 2008. Create a histogram for this data set. The classes start with a value of 710 and the class width should be 20. The average APEAL rating for these vehicle in 2005 was 866. Determine if the average APEAL rating increased or decreased over the three year span and explain why you can determine is based off of the histogram only. This can be seen through the histogram as it is unimodal in the 750-769 bin range. This shows the average of the APEAL Ratings in 2008 is somewhere in this range, whereas, it was 866 in 2005, showing a decrease in value. Additionally, there is only one value of 850 or more, thus showing the average is not even close to where it was in 2005. 2. (6 points) An analysis of hospital charges associated with out-patient gall bladder surgery was conducted and results recorded in the Excel file titled Hospitals. There are four categories of hospital type listed, along with the amounts charged. a. Record the mean charge for gall bladder surgery for each hospital category. (6 points) The Excel file MLB Attendance contains home and road attendance for each major league baseball team in 2008. The objective is to determine if a relationship exists between a team’s average home and average road attendance.
