This model offers customization to the desire of the teacher and the ability to differentiate to meet the needs of students. It can be utilized with students before, during, and after a concept is introduced. Most commonly this model is completed on paper, however, it can be created digitally as well in Google Slides. The teacher can model this when new concepts are being introduced to students. Via doc cam or Google Slides, the teacher should complete a Frayer Model for a vocabulary word. The teacher should talk students through each step to completion. This will serve as a guide to students in filling out the model for additional vocabulary words. Once completed, the models can be an aid to students to refer back to when they need a refresher. Taking it a step further, all completed models can be put in a journal, either a digital journal or physical notebook, for students to access whenever they need additional support. A digital journal does not
limit students from accessing outside of the classroom. Classroom Ready Student Sample Created in Google Slides, as a digital journal for students to easily access wherever when needed.
