Using ideas from the chapter, describe Dan’s and Asher’s styles of leadership. Dan is unquestionably a task-oriented leader because he places a greater emphasis on reaching the goal and having the team finish the tasks assigned to them. Asher, on the other hand, comes across as being more relationship-focused because he wants the workers to feel at ease with their jobs and the leadership so that they can perform to the best of their abilities.

How will Asher’s employees, who are used to being able to manage themselves in their own way, respond to Dan’s task-oriented style? Asher's subordinates are more likely to experience his relationship-focused style of leadership. As a result, rather than engaging in direct interference, their working style may involve affiliation from the leadership. If they must report to Dan in this circumstance, they might feel that their authority to deal with an abnormal situation is severely limited and their work scope has become very constrained. This will be completely at odds with their sense of ownership at work, which
they have developed while working with Asher. As a result, the level of overall service may decline, and they may continue to be unsatisfied and unmotivated. Dan might not put
up with such subpar work and inefficiency, which would ruin these employees' careers.

How will Dan’s employees, who are used to being given clear direction and procedures, respond to Asher’s more relationship-oriented style? In contrast, if Dan's employees start answering to Asher, they will run into difficulties handling even minor irregularities at work. Due to their lack of confidence in handling abnormalities, they will experience heat
