(i.e. dates are consistently formatted, experience is in reverse-chronological order, graduation date is listed appropriately) Is the balance of white space and content good? If you were a hiring manager, could you quickly scan the document and get a general understanding of experiences and skills? If not, how can the document be formatted to be easier to read quickly? The format is very well laid out. There is a lot of information, but it is easy to separate and understand. It has a great balance of white and text. The dates and locations are very clearly and correctly formatted. Content: Are bullet points written concisely using the S.O.A.R method? (i.e. are results emphasized, did they quantify their experience, is a power verb used?) The bullet points are written concisely using the S.O.A.R method. Clarity: Can you understand the task/outcome of each experience without having to ask questions? (For example: if you were reviewing this resume and the person was not in front of you, would you have a strong understanding of their experience without talking to them?) Is there anything you are unsure about/confused by when reviewing the document? Everything is written very clearly and explains exactly what he did. Sumedh Chavarkar MGMT 295 4/25/2023 Clifton Strengths Assessment I have many strengths as I have worked hard in the past to achieve several goals. However, according to the Clifton Strength Assessment, my top five strengths are empathy, ideation, intellection, developer, and analytical. I would describe empathy as understanding how others feel and think. I feel like empathy is important especially when you are working in a team as you are able to better understand where a person is coming from. I use empathy when I am working with other people for a group project as I often listen to their ideas and understand where they come from. Empathy will also be important for my job as it will help me build stronger connections with others. I would describe ideation as being creative with various ideas. I feel like ideation is important when you need to create new ideas such as working on pitching a business plan to investors. Ideation also helps create new ideas and generates creativity. I use ideation when I need to create ideas for a club as I have to plan and create events. I would describe Intellection as thinking deeply about a certain topic. I feel like Intellection would be important when you are unsure about an important decision. I use Intellection when making important decisions on a project such as what to include in the project. Intellection will be important in my future career as I will probably have to make some big decisions in my career. I would describe being a developer as helping people grow as leaders. I feel like being a developer would be important when you are coaching someone on a certain task. Being a developer is important to help
people when you a person wants to improve themselves but does not know how. I am a developer in my club as I help new members grow and feel included in the club. Being a developer will be important when training new members of a company. I would describe being analytical as trying to prove something is true. I feel like being analytical would be important when proving a certain point in the research. Being analytical would be important to point out certain trends. I am analytical when trying to solve certain projects by finding the best solution. Overall, I feel I have many strengths will help me in my career long term. Sumedh Chavarkar MGMT 295 1/24/2023 Networking Statement Hello, my name is Sumedh Chavarkar. I am currently a freshman at Purdue University studying Management. I have always been very analytical and empathic as I enjoy creating ideas and solving problems with others. This has allowed me to work well with others on creating an effective market strategy on various projects and mock business proposals. My goal is to get an accounting or finance internship for Summer 2023 as I would like to gain more professional experience. I am confident that my strengths will be beneficial to your company as I would like more opportunities.
MGMT 295 Peer Review Networking Statement Feedback Form For this portion of your Career Toolkit, type up the responses you received in class from partners when delivering your Networking Statement. Summarize their responses under the “Delivery” and “Content” categories, then answer the reflection question to receive full credit. Delivery Was their delivery clear, confident and professional? Sumedh’s delivery was clear and straight to the point. He followed the format and was concise. How was their pacing? (Too fast, too slow, etc.) Sumedh’s pacing was good. Vocal fillers – did they use a lot of “ums”, “likes”, etc.? No, he did not How were their non-verbals? (eye contact, stance, facial expressions, etc.) Very good, made clear eye contact and looked confident. Content What did you learn about your partner that would make you want to hire or interview them? What skills do you have? Is there any information you would take out or recommend your partner add to their networking statement? I don’t have any recommendations. Did you learn their name, major, and future career goal as a result of their networking statement? Yeah Reflection Question: What changes will you make to your networking statement content or delivery based on the feedback you received in class? I will make it shorter.
Sumedh Chavarkar MGMT 295 4/25/2023 Mock Interview Reflection I was a bit nervous when going into a Mock Interview Reflection as I had never done an interview before. I was also nervous since I did not know my alumni would ask questions. I filled out the worksheet to prepare for my interview. I also dressed nicely in order to be professional for my interview. I also did a couple of deep breaths to get ready for the interview in order to calm me down.  I felt like I answered most of the questions my interviewer asked well. I answered the question about my strengths the best as I was effective in demonstrating my strengths. I also answered the question about why I should be considered for a position as well as  I was able to show that I am a very hard worker. I also showed what movitates me as I told my interviewer what time of place I would like to live in. The question I felt like I could have done better was explaining my weakness. I felt a little bit embarrassed talking about my weakness since other than my parents nobody knows about it. I also have not had much experience with my weakness as I have not had many group projects until college. Overall, I found this process helpful since I had not had previous experience with an interview. I found the questions useful as these questions could be used in a future interview someday. I also think that just having an interview was important to my confidence as my interviewer told me I did a good job. I would do another mock interview if I could. Overall, I enjoyed my mock interview.

Personal Professional Development Plan Internship for Summer 2024 and 2025 Asset:  I have a resume and cover letter I also have had completed mock interviews Companies will be more likely to hire me as an older college student I also will have had taken more courses to know what type of internship I would like Challenge: I don't have an internship this summer I would like to work in a large city I would like to get an internship at a company with many opportunities I want to maintain a good GPA  Asset: I have received mostly A's and B's in my college career I will have some classes which I will maintain a A or B I willing to put in the work I will also learn from past challenges Challenge: I have some hard classes coming up I have to attend tutoring situations for harder classes Spend the right amount of time on each class  I wanted to get more involved in clubs in the Business School Asset: I am in officer in a club Challenge: I'm not sure which clubs I want to join I would like to join a finance or management club I am also interested in a consulting club I would like to get a full time job Asset: I have had some job experience already I plan on getting a job this summer I had a job in high school Challenge: I am not sure where I want to work. Different cities have different clubs I am also not sure whether I would like to move back to my home area or move to a different city
Sumedh Chavarkar MGMT 295  4/25/2023 Future Plans Goals I am not sure what type of industry I want to work in since I am only a freshman and I want to learn more about each industry. However, I am interested in working for a biotech company or a big company such as Coca- Cola. I am interested in these industries since there are so many things I can do that I would like to explore more.  Some challenges I expect to face would be competition for many jobs as there will be many talented applicants by the time I graduate. There also might not be a good economy due to a potential recession. I will withstand these challenges by applying to different jobs in different areas as I will have a higher chance of getting a job with more chances.  Many companies require a certain GPA and major for an internship. I feel like I have a good GPA and major that will help me achieve my goals. Jobs also are also looking for good communication and leadership skills which is something that I have developed for the years as I have participated in many activities at Purdue as I am going to be an officer in one of my clubs next semester. I need to practice working in a team as I have not had many group projects throughout high school as there is much more group work in college. I plan on getting an internship for Summer of 2024 and 2025 to improve my chances at getting a job as I will get more work experience. I also plan on joining 1 to 2 more clubs in order to create more connections and getting some more experience in my major. I also plan on utilizing resources at Purdue to help me improve my resume such as peer consulting.
