Effective Leadership Protocol
<Title of Your Paper>
This first paragraph is your introduction (Approximately 150 words)
. Begin with a strong
grabber/intro statement go get the reader’s attention, and end with a focused purpose statement for the paper. The Purpose Statement is similar to a thesis statement, only slightly different. The main ideas of the overall essay must be included in your introduction paragraph. From those main ideas, the Purpose Statement provides the purpose, scope, and direction of the paper.
For this Effective Leadership Protocol
B
enchmark, I am going to discussion different strategies an organization can use to promote effective leadership in the workplace.
Employees are always looking toward their leaders in the workplace. These designated leaders hold the responsibility of
inspiring others and helping them stay motivated. This essay is going to include a list of strategies that employers can use and how they can benefit the workplace. Leading by Example Employees often look towards employers and other figures
in the workplace in more ways than one. A leader in the workplace should be able to take charge of situations and motivate everyone to succeed. In the scenario, Terrance is the employer of the organization as well as the leader of the meeting. However, he did not correctly fulfil his role as the leader. He was snippy, unprepared and rude towards multiple of his employees. One leadership strategy that
Terrance could utilize is being able to lead by example. This is one of if not the most important skills a leader can possess. As a leader, especially in the workplace your employees are always looking at you even if you don’t realize it. When a leaders actions reflect his words in a positive way, those who are following with take in that energy and begin to mirror them. A few ways that a leader can lead by example is by
taking responsibly, supporting their team, and listening to your team. This can all be done through a concept known as “moral

leadership”, which is defined as “the demonstration of normatively appropriate conduct through personal actions and interpersonal relationships, and the promotion of such conduct to followers through two-way communication, reinforcement, and decision making” (Brown et al., 2005, p. 120). This would be a great skill for the founder of Lead Group in the scenario, because they arrived to the meeting unprepared for the topic at hand and discussed other employees in negative ways. Their employees saw this and began to model the same behaviors. However, if the founders would give their subordinates the common decency of treating them respectfully (Sarah) then employee morale would be higher. The founders should have come into the meeting, greeted their employees and had a plan for what was to be discussed and how the meeting was going to go with a more positive attitude then more tasks could have been accomplished.
Communicate Goals
One clear way
that the meeting in the scenario could have gone a lot smoother, was if the founders gave their employees a clear understanding of what was going to be discussed in the meeting pr
ior to it happening. When the meeting started the introduction was glossed over and the founder assumed that everyone was prepared and on the same page. Instead of properly discussing ideas of how to fix the problem that the company was facing, he sort of demanded it f
rom them on the spot. Because the employees were unprepared, their ideas weren’t fully thought
out. Melissa who had the idea of c
utting costs in other ways, was in a way verbally attacked by Glady’s for looking out for their workers. Had any and all goals and objectives were discussed and sent out to those involved in the meeting be
forehand, then
more concrete planning could be had. To fix this issue, the founders and team leaders could have created a meeting itinerary so that their subordinates would know what was to be discussed in the meeting, what knowledge or data they should bring and a way to resolve the issue. I think the team leaders should have also

modeled what they were expecting themselves and created an idea for how to resolve the issue and presented it to their subordinates and asked for their opinions on the matter, instead of relying on them to carry the meeting. Mak
ing sure that everyone is prepared before a meeting takes place, ensures that the meeting runs smoothly and that everyone can
engage confidently. Yin (2022)
says
“
Moreover, when managers help their subordinates reduce stress and anxiety and build confidence, followers learn to cope with tensions”
(
Yin, 2022
)
.
Instead of being overly demanding and being passive aggressive
towards their subordinates. The t
eam leaders should take charge and be more hands on, so that their employees don’t have to stress and worry about unnecessary issues. Know Your Team One thing that can make someone a better leader, is by knowing their team. As a professional it is important to build and train your team and making sure they are able to grow with the company. Any talents that subordinate
’
s or employees have should be acknowledged for
their talents and contributions to the workplace. It is important that team leaders know who is on their team and know how to communicate with them properly. Chen and Peng (2021) “
consider leadership to be one of the most important elements in strengthening the connection/engagement of employees with the enterprise's activities
” (Chen & Peng, 2021
, as cited in Stavrinoudis, 2022
)
.
This is an important factor to consider because it shows that leaders need to be aware of not only the company’s needs but also employee needs as well. If the leaders in the scenario knew their team more, t
hen they would know what their strong suits are and how to communicate with them properly and effectively in order to reach work goals. To overcome this
,
the founders and leaders could have all employees engage in team building exercises to learn more about each other and their thinking habits.

The strategies that were described in this essay, are all strategies that employers can use to become more effective leaders. Leaders should be able to acknowledge their short comings and want to know how to improve. Th

can also help them to grow in the type of leader that they are. S

if a leader finds themselves to be more hands off then they can use these strategies to engage more with their staff. Or if a leader is more dominant and controlling in their
approach, they can learn to work more collaboratively. These st

heading. Paragraphs are 4 to 6 sentences in length. Your concluding sentence should transition to your next heading and set of claims.
Second Heading
Begin this paragraph with a strong topic sentence picking up the transition from the paragraph above. Build your claims one sentence at a time using scholarly supports for each claim (same structure as your above paragraph) Paragraphs are 4 to 6 sentences in length.
Continue with headings
Continue building your paper in this manner. Use as many headings as needed to make your claim while supporting it with scholarly sources, using the sentence format and structure as noted. In many cases your headings can be directly related to the prompts in the assignment. Some prompts may not be deep enough to support an entire heading, in this case see where you can combine prompts under one heading.
Conclusion
This paragraph is just as important as any other paragraph in this essay. Make it strong and end with a solid summary of the ideas you have shared. This is NOT the place to begin new topics – if you have not talked about it in the essay, do not include it here. (Approx.150 words).
