Deborah Hernandez EAB4795 Senior Seminar in Applied Behavior Behavior Analysis Lecture Engagement: Written 1. What was the main point of the video/podcast? The main point of the video was to go over the ethics code for behavior analysts section 4: responsibility to supervisees and trainees. In addition the professor goes over all of the 12 ethical codes in this section in order to educate the listener on the importance of complying with these codes. The main goal of the video is to educate the listener about the relationship between trainees and supervisees with the behavior analyst. In addition, the professor aims to encourage the listener to remain in compliance with these 12 codes when working in the field. 2. Provide 2 major points discussed and describe those points. A major point in the video that stood out to me was section 4.02 supervisory competence. 4.02 explains that behavior analysts supervise and train others only within their identified scope of competence. Another major point is section 4.03 Supervisory volume. This section encourages behavior analyst to only take on the number of supervisees and trainees that allow them to provide effective supervision and training. 3. What did you learn from the video/podcast? From this video I learned about the recommend caseloads. Moreover, the average caseload for one behavior analyst supervising comprehensive treatment without support by a BCaBA is 6-12. The average caseload for one behavior analyst supervising comprehensive treatment with support by one BCaBA is 12- 16 additional BCaBAs permit modest increases in caseloads. The average caseload for one behavior analyst supervising focused treatment without support of a BCaBA is 10-15. Lastly, the average caseload for one behavior analyst supervising focused treatment with support of one BCaBA is 16-24.
