With authority comes the power to delegate responsibilities although leaders have to be cognizant of the concept of accountability (Stickney & Johnston, 1983). Furthermore, I learned that having more responsibility than authority does not mean that somebody is a project manager. Consequently, project managers have to learn how to balance between the two through planning. The planning process allows for task delegation with the requisite responsibilities being defined. (2mmart) From reading your post, I noted that every strategy has to begin with a vision and mission. The two work in tandem with each other to define the project objectives or outcomes. Furthermore, the vision is seminal in inspiring and gaining collective momentum to a set destination. Without a vision, a leader will be unable to motivate and inspire their followers (Kirvan, 2022). Contrarily, vision statements are likely to change thus there is a need for the leaders to ensure that the mission remains the same. The key question I have is how can contingency plans be used to improve vision alignment and the attainment of predefined objectives? References
